1033: Everyone Only - The Gimme Golf Club Origin Story

Five years ago, Kyle Walton had a kernel of an idea: What if I started a golf club that wasn't attached to a golf course? That idea eventually became Gimme Golf, one of the best and most inclusive golf societies in the country. It also changed public golf in St. Louis in a profound way.

Just listened to the kvv gimmie golf episode . Thank yall so much for thinking outside of the box and doing original content that no one else even comes close to. Even it’s just a break from life and work , the 1-2 hour get away is a weekly highlight . Appreciate what everyone at nlu does . A fan for life

Enjoyed this, @KVV! Made me appreciative of all the new friends I’ve made from roost events over the past two years.

Amazing work as always from KVV. I think these stories are a great compliment to following the professional game. I would love to have something like this in the Cleveland, OH area, but wondering if this is unique based on the circumstances in St. Louis. Love the idea of a year round membership that includes a clubhouse with SIMS and also a variety of traditional courses to choose from. I’ve read about New Club, but it seems less of a community feel like the one in St. Louis. If anyone knows about a similar club in the greater Northeast Ohio area let me know!

Great stuff. I listened to this last week driving home from a business road trip to St. Louis. I’d snuck out for a late afternoon 9 while I was there…at Ballwin Golf Course. Sadly I missed my birdie putt on 9.

Hope these guys continue to grow.
