D.J. and Neil have this weekend’s pod as Aldrich Potgieter wins in a five-hole playoff in Detroit over Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk. We talk all things Rocket Classic - including Collin Morikawa beefing with the media - before touching on results from the U.S. Senior Open, LIV Dallas, DP World Tour, and KFT. We also share some fun anecdotes from a recent Titleist shoot, other news and notes, and a personal golf discussion.
Was anyone able to decipher the name of the sports psychologist Neil mentioned? I couldn’t catch it, even with the AI transcription.
Massachusetts folks gonna be up in arms about the pronunciation of Woburn. “Woah-burn” was tough to hear
I almost dropped my phone when I heard that. I worked in Woburn for years so that was a record scratch for me.
Just listened to the kvv gimmie golf episode . Thank yall so much for thinking outside of the box and doing original content that no one else even comes close to. Even it’s just a break from life and work , the 1-2 hour get away is a weekly highlight . Appreciate what everyone at nlu does . A fan for life
They should spell their cities the correct way then. It should be spelled Wooburn if they want outsiders to get it right.
You’re so right. Allow me to introduce you to Worcester (pronounced Wuster) and Billerica (pronounced Bill-ricka). There are so many more. I’m a Massachusetts transplant from the south and these names are still absurd to me.
If they spelled it how they say it, how would they get mad at people for mispronouncing it? I’d love to hear Neil run through a list of towns in Mass
Poor @djpie having to sit through MORE examination of his golf game. The intervention continues for the poor guy i guess.
DJ and Neil is a sneaky sick duo of the NLU lineup. They can riff off each other so well
Hey DJ, speaking of the par 3 course in Milwaukee you played I have an etiquette question I was hoping the no laying up guys could tackle. Should you bring a range finder to a par 3 course? Kim speaking with some experience of the par 3 courses in Milwaukee, which are great, but the scorecard yardages are all over the map or simply difficult to gauge.
