It’s D.J.’s turn to step into the Personal Golf spotlight as we discuss the transition from Florida to Wisconsin golf, enjoying the game regardless of score, gear updates after a recent fitting with Titleist, and DJ’s personal top ten favorite golf courses.
That was sooo relatable though from a 17 handicapper’s perspective. Chasing shadows trying to find the groove again. Great piece , but that’s to be expected.
Had this come out before the Supper Club Roost Major, I would have introduced myself to @djpie and asked if we could do a DNA test, because there’s a good chance we’re related.
Holy shit that was so relatable.
@djpie and I had very similar starts to our golf IQ blooming at North Berwick.
- Riding the train there
- not really knowing how good a course it was
- having a misconception of what good golf was
I played it about 9 months before joining the Nest and starting my golf wokeness journey with NLU but even my pea brain at the time knew how special it was.
Unfortunately if I followed DJs parameters of playing the course more than once I’d be forced to leave it off as I haven’t made it back to East Lothian.
