Soly and DJ are joined by KVV as we discuss the action at Colonial with Ben Griffin winning his first solo PGA Tour event and the rest of the weekend’s news in pro golf before an eclectic Back 9 featuring: KVV’s recent whereabouts and a critical question about his upcoming 100 Hole Hike, Soly getting taken to task by KVV over recent US Ryder Cup team comments, the new LPGA Commissioner announcement and more.
The KVV Ryder Cup barrage is pure cinema
I think you have to walk and carry the bag on the 100 Hole Hike. That seems like a trade-off: You commit to doing something difficult, and people donate money to support you. If someone said, “Sponsor my bike ride, but I am going to take a car up the hills.” I probably wouldn’t donate to them.
It’s not a 100 hole hike if you don’t carry your bag.
What, we don’t think that walking the hundred holes and swinging the club, in my case, 600+ times is not enough of an effort?!?
Yes. Exactly what we think
@KVV with the Ryder Cup verbal howitzer. Absolutely on fire.
If someone wants to carry his bad let them
It’s 30 miles take the bag for 5 or 6
And fuck it. If KVV wanted to be apart of the push cart mafia during the 100 hole hike then he should be able to
100 holes at an 18 hole course while walking
Thank you to @KVV for establishing Golf Perv Corner for my question at the 37:50 mark.
I think @JBors @duckhunter07 and others would agree that’s probably the ideal place to send many of my golf musings.
Especially when you can carry a little Sunday bag with a half ish set.
What if he wants his full set…
Same thoughts. Hike is in the name, and hikers carry stuff on their backs.
@djpie just wanted to tell you that I was nodding silently in solidarity when you were talking about your short game struggles right now. I’m also in that fraternity, it’s killing my scores. But it’s always darkest before the dawn…
I think that when Colton did the 155 holes at Ballyneal in 2011, the event that started this whole 100 hole hike, he used a rotating group of caddies for some of, if not all, of the day. But, it’s been nearly 15 years so it’s very possible my memory is hazy but I don’t think so.
As always, I stand with Big Randy
“American football is the ultimate team sport” is such a laughable take. KVV is way too American.
If the choice is KVV finishing the 100 holes or uses a cart or a caddy then the cart or caddy has to win. I think he should start by carry and then go as far as he can before going to cart and then finally caddys. 50 holes carry, 30 cart, 20 caddy
I did a spit take when KVV said Mark Chmura was the former CMO of the LPGA. Surely Mark Chmura is not someone you want hanging around a bunch of women, especially LPGA players who are often young.
It’s Matt Chmura.
as someone considering doing the 100 hole hike myself - would my fellow refugees look down upon doing it at a par 3 course?
If people are truly interested in volunteering to caddy for KVV he should take inspiration from the Tewer and make them pay for the privilege. A donation to the cause for the right to schlub his bag and talk his ear off for part of the day seems like a reasonable compromise.
