I would love to participate in a yotb meetup but telling the wife I’ll be gone for another 4 day weekend immediately after the Ope is probably not a great idea!
I certainty didn’t mean any judgement in what I said. I think it’s been pretty well established that I do not expect people to love coming up to ND on any notice.
I was just being truthful with my man there because I’m already not much of a planner (which is why everyone got two months notice).
Damnit Throobs, you feeling down and like nobody wants to come to Fargo is gonna make me have a discussion with my wife. Surely she’ll be fine with me leaving her family vacation early, flying from somewhere in Michigan to Fargo (is there even an airport there?), having her drive our daughter 6-8 hours home by herself, and then flying from Fargo back home.
All in the name of blades baby.
I’m definitely not feeling down. I totally, completely get it. This is how I live my life, just throwing stuff up and seeing what happens, I did not expect it to work for anyone, or everyone.
BUT! We’re getting some nibbles around the edges here and I think we could still have a delightful time without all the Ope Losers, so I’d love to have you up here.
Also yes! And it’s 20 minutes from my home course.
It’s a delightful airport throobs will even show up to pick you up holding a sign insulting your favorite sports franchise
Mini blade meet up at Wildflower golf course on August 29
100% and you can get through security in 45 seconds.
Yeah, me and you.
Trust me, I’d love to get up there. Unfortunately my refuge event quota for the year is met.
Damn weddings for friends, wife working a job where she has to work weekends, having a kid so I can’t jet off on those weekends (being a dad rocks), and week long vacation with the in-laws…
Blade meetup further south in early fall could be fun.

I gave the thread like 3 weeks for someone to take on a plan, now I make one and you’re making a NEXT PLAN
I already celebrate privately.
Sir, I do not plan. I vaguely spitball at best.
As you should. It’s getting far too commercial.
Good at event names though, no one can argue that.
For sure. Unfortunately it’s not in the cards for me this year.
But I’d be happy to start help planning for next year. Let’s pick a weekend and get it on the calendar now.
(We’re still playing, we’ll just take the ‘meetup’ tag off it.)
I have no interest in planning or talking about planning anything for 2026. I could be dead by then. We could all be dead by then.

I’m about to go play with chances of baseball size hail in the forecast I could be dead this afternoon
Godspeed sir.
