Where did you play this week? (Part 1)

13-18 is one of the most fun stretches of golf I’ve ever played. It’s definitely a hidden gem.

Crow Creek and Meadowlands are both really fun. CC has some fun holes and greens and Meadowlands has a great layout, played it a few weeks ago and it was in great shape.

I’m in Raleigh too if you ever want to get out and play somewhere.

My in-laws have a place at Crow Creek and it’s one of my favorite courses to play down there. Usually in great shape, some interesting greens and not gonna beat you up. Fun golf down by the beach.

Got out this AM before work to sweep the dew.

Old Brockway G.C.
Kings Beach, CA

Site of the first Bing Crosby Clambake, 1934

It’s like getting lost in the forest until you come down the ninth fairway and see the driving range directly behind the Safeway and hear the cars and trucks rumbling down North Lake boulevard as it wraps around the northern tip of Lake Tahoe.

Last tee time of the day with a mate and his son. The last useful light slipped away as we holed out on 18. Life is good.

Just played a grueling 18 in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.

First hole was a gentleman’s handshake of a par 2. A mooseknuckler leaving an easy tap in from any approach.

Next notable hole was a Mickey Mouse par 2 on the 5th hole. The ears are welcoming for a trick shot.

We quickly realized the shot before your eyes was the correct play with three birdies.

The 6th hole brought water into play.

The Young Hitter of the group had to fish two tee balls out of the water before finishing with a 5, acing his third tee shot.

Classic cave hole on the 11th, everyone was stymied by Blackbeard’s mysterious hole.

Course winds down quickly on the signature 17th. A gem of a downhill beauty. It’s a long par 3 that almost all birdied with ease. Time to roll the ball back.

Played at a golfers journal event at llanerch this week. If anyone has the chance to play in one of their events I recommend it, a lot of fun!

Got to play Lofoten Links in Norway this week. The course is incredible. Very rugged and extremely difficult. The rental clubs and I didn’t seem to get along, but it was so fun. It’s such a hard place to get to, but very worth it.
