Today’s 80+ degree $8 YoTB 8i Match against @djheadley on the Ocho was a blast. Presses made things interesting:
- I took the 9 hole match 1up
- Lefty won 2up holes 6-9 (nice), closing me out on 8
- I took the 9th hole 1up
Lots of scorecard scribbling. Feel like decent scores would’ve been posted if we had putters, but that would defeat the purpose. Pretty sure @JwG3 went Par-Par to finish, posting the best 1 club gross score for our group

Getting out ahead of this as I await the pleasure of either @Kbergen28 getting me in a grudge match or @TheAbeFroman taking me to the cleaners - have to be in NY for work the final week of Breakfast Ball. Can make myself available another day of the week once I return but understand that’s sac-religious. I’ll defer to the winner of your match and commish @djheadley to decide on what’s appropriate.

Welcome to week 17! 2 weeks left of WBC and the sunrise is getting late. We only have one match to play this week to see who gets in for the championship round. They will have to schedule a 9 hole match somewhere else since @tmstrods and I would recommend doing it on another 9 hole course just to keep it interesting. Happy to join along and spectate the round and to update everyone on play by play.

I’m always game for a match regardless of a stake’s height, weight, or type. I don’t discriminate.
I’ve got some Goose Island Bourbon County variants dating back to 2013, Pinehurst golf tees, a Pins & Aces golf bag beer sleeve, and plenty of white elephant-esque items to wager. Hell I’d even stake a freshly prepared PB & Nutella sandwich (hand crafted at 5:30am day-of by yours truly) against another edible item.
In typing that, a WBC White Elephant Match sounds interesting. Playing for a mystery prize hand selected by my opponent is plenty motivation lol

Oh baby, going for the rares
Mad respect for casually name dropping what I feel is far and away best prop in it’s vertical. My buddy tries to convince me each year that ‘13 was better, still incredible, but ‘14 was immaculate. If you’re serious we should make this happen! I’ll happily stake the ‘14 playing against someone who appreciates it.
But first, need to go through my stash when I’m home tonight and make sure I actually still have one. For sure cracked one to celebrate signing papers for our Meadery opening back in early 2020 and another in 2018 at a small bottle share. I have quite a few cases (original & variants) so if I don’t have it but possess others you deem worth playing for, let’s set it up!
