with no loops going out at the country club right now (lame), I’ve dedicated some time to a Google Sheet that should be able to calculate gross/net scores w/just scorename entries. I don’t know if anyone else uses something similar. Working on incorporating tilt scores into it. I’ll share later if anyones interested. Inspired by @rmbartell

Mr. @Kbergen28 sent me a really nice spreadsheet that helped my anti-math brain.

classic morning scrambled brain, but I knew someone was talking about it!

@Cswartz made a 3 on the second hole (sick) which is the #2 handicap hole. He is a 3 HC for 18 holes at Marovitz, so for 9 holes does he get 2 pops or 1 pop for his 1.5 course handicap?

What say you commissioner? @djheadley

Not that I was really hoping for the net double eagle or anything, but it is the first thing I Googled when I started work today. Seems like normal rounding rules apply… So 2 pops?

@Cswartz is correct, we round up

Do I need to make any updates to the scoring

Yea put me down for a double eagle on hole 10.

Nope, all good. I made some assumptions when filling it out

And if I’m right did I see your gross score was 28… holy fuck

Haha no that is certainly not right. Should be 38! Some edits needed apparently

You made some big time assumptions…

Also waiting on Sir @Wheel to report in and I can get the big data machine started. Just filled it up with some costco gas

I just went to do this same thing thinking the line would be short. I was incorrect.

Also congrats to @TheAbeFroman for being on 3x and doubling the first. You and @rmbartell play tilt like I play blackjack. All the highs and all the lows.

With a lot of time on my hands, I decided to step on @Kbergen28’s toes and steal his spreadsheet idea and his logic a la Zuckerberg v Saverin in that movie Social Network to create a Waveland Tilt Scorecard

Here is a Google link to get your own copy of a Waveland Tilt Scorecard. It should make life easier as once you set it to your index, you only need to manually input the name of your score (ie birdie, par, bogey, etc) (no numbers!!!)

Sparknote Instructions
1st - Set the sheet to your handicap index. Do this by finding the holes you stroke on and writing “Stroke” in Column C. If you double stroke, write “2Stroke”

2nd - Sheet is now ready to go, input the name of your score into Column D (eagle, birdie, par, bogey, double, triple). Also be sure to include your tilt starting score that day in cell b13

Hope this is helpful? and if it sucks remember, I stole the idea and the formulas so don’t blame me… :upside_down_face:

About time we invest in scorecard sceeenscrape tech and fully automate, add a Grint to Google sheets interface for those app users.
