Forget efforting…They need to get Kelly Slater or some other surfer on the Trap Draw. They touched on it a little in Strapped (Southern California), but there are a lot of parallels between the golf and surfing while they couldn’t be more polar opposites in public perception. @Randy you have to call Brendon Thomas and get someone for a future pod!

Yes. But I also think Zac Taylor is a fraud and loathe the Brown family, so the Bengals are fraught with issues in that scenario.
Pretty much all UGA fans (which are also the majority of Falcon fans) already hate Fields for transferring to OSU because he wasn’t getting enough playing time. Fields will want a trade after the first game when he doesn’t get the start over Matt Ryan.
Yes our quarterback is getting old but we have so many other issues to address before we draft another quarterback.
UGA fans should hate Kirby for that. Playing Fromm over Eason and Fields is a firable offense.

Who knows. I’m a scorned, over zealous, unrealistic, always disappointed Georgia fan so my views maybe somewhat distorted.
The kid was backing someone up that he was better than who also had another year at UGA and was called the n word by another student athlete and had that plastered all over the news. Making the best decision for himself doesn’t make him a quitter or a complainer. It makes him not stupid.

Disagree. He would have easily beat out Fromm the next spring season since he was clearly the better quarterback. He just needed his freshman year to develop and learn the system.
The N word was just an excuse so he could transfer and play the next year. No way that he heard that punk yell the N word from the stands with 90K plus fans yelling at the same time. Also his sister stayed at UGA to play softball. If UGA was such a racist and terrible school why would his sister stay and risk her life to be at a school that was so hateful?
I get it he wanted to play right away and not earn his starting role or honor his commitment. Why can’t I be mad that my team played in the Peach bowl this year while Fields played on another team in the national championship game?
Never said he could hear it. But athletic departments are small. Student athletes know other student athletes. Having that story go viral can absolutely put a damper on his experience there. Has nothing to do with UGA being racist, has to do with what his experience was going to be like.
And, why would he assume he would beat out Fromm when most people thought he should have beaten him out the first year and he didn’t? Kirby showed this year that he has a genuine inability to start the best QB on day one. Especially after Fromm played relatively well in his first two years, it is far from a given that he would bench him for Fields.
In the end, a better opportunity was out there for a nineteen year old and he took it and kudos to him for doing that. Being upset about it because he left the school you pull for is a bit ridiculous. And acting like he would complain if he backed up Matt Ryan because he chose to leave UGA is equally as ridiculous. Transferring schools is not anywhere close to requesting a trade as a rookie. You’re comparing apples to peanuts. He went to two CFP’s in his two years at OSU while cementing a first round pick. It was the right decision for him, clearly.
Coaches cut players all the time. Why don’t you get mad when they don’t “honor their commitment” to the player?

Do you think Fields would be happy holding the clipboard for Matt Ryan when the Falcons go 4 and 12 again? There are 31 other better opportunities in the NFL than the Falcons. Any yes UGA can’t pick a good quarterback if their life depended on it. How did we let Deshaun Watson and Tyler Lawrence go to Clemson? I don’t even think we recruiter Deshaun Watson.
He would be an employee of the organization under contract. He is not under contract as a student athlete. Those two don’t equate IMO

I think Fields is a hell of an athlete, he wants to win and he wants to play. The Atlanta Falcons are the worst place he could go. We don’t even have a coach or a GM. Uncle Arthur is probably going to do the draft by himself this year but at least we got a new stadium and $1.50 hot dogs.
