Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

It’s not just California. It’s Hawaii too. Anyone with a truck.

Isn’t that where KVV got his bag stolen?

I don’t have an issue with back-in parkers unless it’s done in diagonal parking spaces, where they have to ingress or egress the space going against the flow of traffic in that lane.

Things that are sick nominee: plaques.

Doesn’t matter where, or what’s on them. Someone took the time and contributed their resources to educate future generations about the location on which they stand. It’s educational and grounding. I’m sure the bronze Fonz has a great one.

Always stop and read the plaque.

Hitting the hands behind the back, slight lean, taking in a plaque. Sick.

Letting everyone know you’re done reading with a little pursed lip, nod, and “hmmm”. The unspoken: “good to know”

Worthy of our attention = Swallow-tailed kite.

I live in SW Florida where we are blessed with a concentration of these elegant creatures from early spring through late summer. Taking a minute or two to read about their migration and breeding habits is worth while, IMHO.

The first siting in the spring is a sure sign Spring has Sprung!

That’s next level…

Good advice. I always stop to read the names and the words on the placques at golf courses. Or benches, or whatever. They’re almost always for someone who has passed away, and if they were so well adored that someone bought an engraved bench for them, I want to think about them for a few seconds as I read the plaque.

Though one plaque maybe a decade had an egregious typo (grammar-wise), so then I felt conflicted. I think it was trying to say “their generosity of spirit” (which, why not say “HIS generosity of spirit?”) and they wrote “they’re generosity of…” or something like that.

Oh no. To live a life where you don’t smile is one thing. To never see a dog is an entirely different level!

Kites are sick. They teach their young to hunt by flying around with prey in their talons and making the juveniles chase it around a while before eventually letting go so they can catch it.

That also reminded me that while playing in a Member Guest in Naples in March I saw a Bald Eagle, Osprey, Cooper’s Hawk, and Swallow Tailed Kite fighting over the same fish over a pond. It was pretty sick

Also quick reminder that we have a bird thread. Feel free to drop by any time to post bird pics or ya know just like talk about birds and stuff.

Haven’t even finished the episode, but count me among the back-in parkers. I’ve always found it easier/faster to back in than back out.
