The room had a framed piece detailing the life of St. Bridget of Sweden. She was 14th century. Definitely was not named for the Irish woman.

La Croix has been around since the 80s. I remember growing up in Wisconsin and my aunt always had it.

Nebbish is indeed Yiddish. It’s definition is: a pitifully ineffectual, luckless, and timid person.
That said, I think they are often saying “Jebbish” - which is a reference to Jeb Bush, who was also fairly nebbish and low energy.

Fun fact. An old family friend dated Tim Ream through high school and (most of?) college. Was kind of wild to see his name move through the ranks and become more and more successful.
