Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

I am heartbroken the boys will never get the white whale on the cast now. We will continue the search for the real killer now like our Uncle Juice would want

RIP Juice - Please respect @Tron privacy in this time of mourning.

A very inappropriate OJ story, but here we go. Let’s just say I may have had a friend in college who may have had a signed OJ picture that he may have dumped out white powder on and separated it into lines and people may have used a straw to injest that powder through their nostrils.

I may have known someone else who did the same thing with a Bill Clinton signed picture.

Could never get on board with the Juice bit. Dude brutally slaughtered two people and showed zero remorse. Hope he’s burning in hell. Also a hearty fuck you to Mark Furman and the LAPD.

Have a buddy who snagged this off eBay back in February. Just in time before the value skyrockets.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t know the origin story for that bit, but I’ve always struggled with it.

Hopefully it dies with him.

Pretty sure Uncle Juice is from the American Crime Story that was on FX.

Today Juice rests easy. His wife’s killer is dead.

If he hadn’t gone with a gun to that hotel room to get his memorabilia back and kidnapped those two men he would probably be on the Buffalo sports Mt Rushmore (pun unintended) with a statue out front of the new stadium.

I’m surprised someone isn’t selling Don Jr. photo mirrors for tabletop use.

Is this part of the bit?

I’m with @BillyWalters, it’s the worst NLU bit by a huge margin. Grotesque stuff.

I think it will require a two-fold change but the main one is to limit pitchers on the roster and somehow limit DL stints or options. Force teams to squeeze more innings out of guys and all the sudden eating innings will matter again more than just going all out.

Obviously that will be a huge advantage to hitters if guys start ā€œsoft tossingā€ and velocity goes back down again. The only corresponding thing I can think of doing there is to adjust the strike zone and enforce it as defined (aka raising the top of the zone to the letters).

It’s not perfect but somehow you have to incentivize teams to tell their pitchers to throw 85% effort.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but wanted to share with the boys that there is hope on the horizon in Cincinnati. I could probably scrounge up some bid docs/intel for the boys if they need a deeper dive.

@Tron I heard your dismay over paprika last week, and it spurred a book recommendation. If you haven’t gotten this book yet, I do recommend Harold McGee’s ā€œOn Food and Cooking,ā€ which is as close to an encyclopedia on cooking, ingredients, methods, and the science, origin, and health impacts of everything. It’s a very dense reference, but very valuable in unlocking the next level of cooking. For some reason the paprika discussion made me think of that and thought you may enjoy.

Having spent significant time in Western NY, there are more than a few people who actually think this (particularly among the senior set).
