I’m just excited the Arkansas representation on the refuge is growing!
I look to be traveling several times a month over the next year, and I am looking forward to adding in many of these smaller regional airports for the first time.
Hoping to work some status since before Covid
Not even really sure what I’m looking at but way, way in on it.

First time poster, long time lurker here. I’m flying to Tampa from O’Hare on American in a couple weeks, does anybody know how the TSA lines are at O’Hare? I’m flying early evening Friday and was wondering if I needed to take a couple hours off from work to make my flight. I’m off work at 4pm usually and the flight is at 6:35, only work 15 minutes from O’Hare.
Do you have precheck? If so ORD is a well oiled machine.
unfortunately, I don’t. I fly once every couple years, prefer to drive if I can make it happen. Last second golf weekend in Florida forced my hand this year. Fingers crossed that my clubs make it to Tampa in one piece
Makes sense, I would think you should have no issues if you leave work at 4pm for a 6:35 flight. Plenty of time to get the golf bag checked and through TSA.
Speaking of which. When are we gonna tee it up?
Make sure you have a good travel bag for your sticks. Chicago baggage handling is #notgreat sometimes.
i got a hardshell travel case from my girlfriend for Christmas this year, stoked to give it some use. going to throw an airtag in it just in case we have an issue with a lost bag
I always advocate for the hard case. If you check most airline regulations they will NOT pay for/replace any damaged clubs if they are in any kind of soft case. The Samsonite hard case is my go to travel case.
I’ve always been soft case, partially because I use the extra room to put as much stuff as possible to get the bag to 49.9 pounds. Acts as extra padding too!
the bag is actually hard shell on top and soft on the bottom, so I might have a real best of both worlds scenario
The Samsonite one isn’t too heavy but certainly heavier than a soft case. The only reason I went hard case years ago was checking the airline regulations. I almost exclusively fly United (live in Red Bank, NJ and Newark is the closest airport) and United says that they will only work with you if its a hard case. I know lots of people have had successful with soft cases too.
Soft case, bag boy rod, take the head off the driver.
Exactly. Off to Maui in a week and this is what I do every time.
With all its flaws, they move people through pretty quickly even checking a bag.
The train running now to the rental car garage is also a game changer. I drive and park now most of the time vs Uber/Lift for weekend trips. I end up paying about the same for parking as you would for both trips.
This is the way. Also flip your irons upside down to put the weight at the bottom and make it easier to wheel around.
We used to do this to other kids to mess with them, I’m not doing it to myself!
I have 2 companion flights that have to be used by February 1st. If anyone could use em let me know. It’s delta and I’m the lower 48. You pay for 1 flight and the second one is free. There are only certain flights that you can choose so i would need to look it up. I can transfer to anyone. Not looking for anything out of them. Just want to try and get them used. Sorry for the late notice.
