Trap Draw : Airports 4.1 now out

That Guac gate goes hard. I’d wear it every taco Tuesday.

Does the hat next to it say “Espresso?”

Just putting this out there that White Horse spirits and kitchen might be one of, if not, THE best airport restaurant going. It’s in SLC terminal A. Not sure if it actually counts though since they have a downtown location and this is the satellite location.

I’m literally just a guy. And it was literally just an ERJ lol

Just want to state for the record, in news that will shock absolutely nobody, that the people movers at Dulles remain the worst form of inter-terminal transit ever conceived by mankind. Fuck these lunar bus rovers.

100% agree. I used to fly in and out of Dulles every week from 2002-2004 and it remains the dumbest airport layout ever designed.

I pretend I’m an astronaut on some sort of lunar rover. It helps.

I was just there a couple weeks ago. Truly hate to see that out of one of my favorite places.

we’re flying biz class on BA via American to London this summer and it seems insane that BA charges for seat assignments in biz. not sure I want to use the AmEx airline fee statement credit on that or pay out of pocket

Dulles CLEAR + PreCheck line is a full 100 yard snake right now and moving at a snail’s pace. Regular precheck & security lines even worse. Fuuuuuuuck this airport.

At least your risk of being knocked out of the sky by a helicopter carrying a General who’s too lazy to take a 15 minute car ride to the Pentagon is MUCH lower.

Honestly with the amount of PJ to Heli traffic here I’m not so sure about that

More of a DCA problem than a IAD problem, but I appreciate your concern.

Always a “never know what your gonna get” situation at IAD. It’s not unusual for the prole checkpoint to be quicker than Clear or Precheck.

Combining clear and precheck is so dumb

All-world bad everything out here. Took 35 min to check bags at the Premier Access line for United, dudes fucked up the weight measurements and tried to charge me $150 for a bag that was sub-50 pounds. Then the mega line at security. Then they mixed up boarding flights to Philly and Mobile at the A5 gate. Then after getting people boarded on the right planes, had to replace a valve part on the engine. Then sat on the tarmac behind 17 other planes awaiting takeoff. Then was told a 1-2 hour ground hold was in effect due to “airspace saturation” on our route. Then the announcement of an indefinite overnight delay, we are going back to the gate. Now standing at the gate desk awaiting word for what the rescheduling plan is for tomorrow, and there’s no gate agents in sight at our gate or any of the five surrounding gates.

Clear sucks. Digital ID is better than everything else.

Clear has been great at DCA but the inverse seems to be true at Dulles. No idea why.

Anyway. Flight technically not cancelled, just delayed until 9:10 tomorrow morning. You can imagine how irate the non-locals were, especially once they found out that there would be no help for getting anyone a hotel and their checked baggage is being held hostage overnight and no way to get it back, even if they opt to take another flight. Amex business travel rep on the corp phone line was not of much help getting other options spun up; seemed disinterested in looking at anything but other nonstops to Mobile, which ofc were fully sold out a week before this flight was cancellayed. Tried pitching her the idea of getting me into IAH tonight so I could hop on one of their Mobile flights in the AM, to no avail.
