Inclusive of the underground lair or can we leave that?
We’ll have to ask Beyoncé
At YYZ they have workers telling people to download the app to skip the regular line and people just don’t care.
Must be afraid of the American spyware.
Is this for peasants without Nexus?
Yes.

"American Airlines has been piloting a system in recent weeks to flag when people attempt to board before their group has been called. Experts in human behavior say travelers who mass at the gate ahead of their turn do so out of a tendency to conform — and out of a sense of competition. Airline employees often refer to those passengers as “gate lice.”
‘Gate lice’ beware: American Airlines is catching early boarders - The Washington Post
Had someone on an Air Canada flight last month get rejected in front of me trying to board with Zone 2 and it was amazing.
Most of my experiences have been with people crowding the gate, but not actually in line to board before their group. They are obviously still blocking the paths to the boarding line. It is not helped by the fact there is never enough seating close to the gate and people are anxious about being the first ones up with their group so they don’t lose overhead bin space.
Once again charging for carry on instead of a checked bag would solve so many issues. Someone should run for president on this policy.
As a group 1 AA frequent flyer I welcome this change. Wait your turn you group 9 cheap fucks
What gets me are the double dippers. You don’t get to put your carry on AND your jumbo, overstuffed personal item up there. Had a flight attendant ruling with an iron fist a few months ago, loved to see it.
Airport lineups bring out the worst in people.
If they got rid of carry on bags all together they can sell more tickets…
Go back to 1970s carry on policy.
remember during the early days of post-covid when we would start boarding the plane from the back to the front and seemingly saved 20 minutes during the boarding process as a result? shame we didn’t keep that change - felt more efficient and limited gate lice tactics, though you run the risk of being a pre-boarding status member of an airline and boarding last and not having overhead room… there’s gotta be a better way?
Porter in Canada does this. It usually goes: with children or assistance, status/premium and then back to front. Only problem for Porter is that a lot the flights are regional, business commuter flights leaving from the downtown airport. I’ve been on a flight back from Ottawa and it looked like 90% had status bag tags in the waiting lounge.
Everyone is in Zone 1. Total joke.
