The music selection for that opening roll, being @GooseTrego’s YOTB just added that extra little sumptuousness to the opening.
This season was just top notch all the way around. Personally loved Soly’s “Why won’t you guys just die!” yell out there as well.

Was able to catch up this morning. Gutted for my gui DJ van de Velde but this season was such a visual treat. I too said a quiet “holy shit” when Soly hit towards the misty mountains.

Me: I know Strapped New Mexico wasn’t everyone’s favorite pure golf content, but DJ seemed to love shooting there as much or more than anywhere else. Very proud of my home state for that.

Took last night to reflect on the season and I think that it’s a combination of the time of year plus how Tour Sauce has grown over the last 8 seasons.
First off cannot say congrats to the champ enough. @Soly when we were chatting at the NIT mentioned how this season visually was starting off so strong and it continued throughout so serious credit to the whole team including @djpie and @Cody and @sundaybag
I don’t know what it is but the feelings I got from an episode like last night is very similar to those from the @Randy focused episode of TS Michigan. Bottle and sell that stuff fellas.
The shot quality and sound (plus lack thereof) on the extra holes, especially the real time waiting… That’s the good stuff.

Absolutely loved this season. Some beautiful footage of an area of the world I love but honestly, will probably never visit. Lofoten Links looks like an amazing place to visit and play. Not sure I could get enough of all the views from there. Just take all the b-roll and have @justine add music. I’d put that on in the background everyday at work!
Couple thoughts from last night.

Congrats @Soly. What a hard fought win. Extra holes in the semis and finals? What else could you ask for from a competition view?

Is the kid alive again? Felt like a lot of Neil’s misses were like the misses of old.

Hitter Blanco might need to talk with the competition committee. Sounded like one competitor was using the slope function and one wasn’t.

As someone who plays the majority of their golf at dusk, I loved seeing them compete in the almost dark.

The music was absolutely on point and really made think how far this show has come from the early days of mostly just narration.

I really enjoyed all the extras this season. Not sure if that will continue, but I think it adds a lot to series as a whole to show more than just the golf.
As others have said, great job guys. I’m so glad I stumbled across Tourist Sauce Australia all those years ago. These shows and this place has completely changed and reinvigorated my love of golf.

I feel like this season should be submitted to some kind of documentary/series award. Forget that the subject was golf, the actual production in every way was of the highest quality.
Tourist Sauce 8 was art.
Everything else golf related is basically a schlock-fest.

The drone shot from behind this tee was a Wow moment for me -
The tiny teeing areas, the gravel paths, the barren landscape, the ominous clouds, the craggy peaks in the distance, hell, even the antenna array - truly an extraterrestrial scene
EDIT: And the shadows. My God, the length of the shadows!
