As someone who isn’t all about links golf, it spoke to me for that very reason.
Not every golf course needs a sense of place imo.

Very much this @djpie Tweet… loved the quote/dialogue about the Scandinavians have great technique with the long winters indoors. Also loved the Copenhagen scenes and thought the course absolutely POPPED with the way it was shot. Would I like to play there? If I could get the wife in the spa for a couple of days, then sure, why not?!

@djpie being extra saucy is the true mvp of the season
NIL deal, man. Plus, Yeti was founded in part by a Texas Tech grad (it’s Tech, he may not have actually graduated), so we good.
Edit: @Antfields25 beat me to it.
Some really smooth swings coming out of there, there’s a junior coach in DK that posts some from his group.
And another Texas Tech player. I’m noticing a pattern here.
While I was there, it seemed like the men’s team recruited heavily from Scandinavia and South America. The rest of the team being filled in with a few Texas kids and the Scott brothers from Nairn.
College teams hitting the international market is super interesting. Illinois great at it with a guy like Pieters.
I’ve talked to the Iowa coach about it.
If golf channel had any clue they’d be able to do a simple and cool series about it.
I am a small D2 coach but we even recruit internationally. We currently have a player from Mexico on our team. It’s unbelievable how many incredibly good foreign players are out there that could play in the US if they had a higher budget.
I swear coaching is the second most popular profession on the Refuge behind lawyers
Mexico is not international.
Fair point. You get the gist haha
Erin Hills, Chambers Bay and Pete Dye?
Sign me the fuck up
I’ve never been to Europe and have had Ireland and Italy circled due to ancestry. Seeing just a small glimpse of Scandinavia might bump them out. Toss in the ultimate midwest fall weather and it might not be close.
Where was this Christianstad (spelling?) Golf Club that y’all played early in this episode? Google search was yielding inconclusive results.
If we don’t get @Tron playing with Ludvig this week. What the hell are we even doing here?
That will be next week.
On tap this week is a match between Big and Deej at Falsterbo. I promise it’s good stuff.
Swedish candy is bizarre world. Stuff on the left very good. Bag on the right is bad like inedible bad.
