BTW, I agree on Sir Nick. I do not know what the fuck he is on about most of the time. I keep apologising to Americans to say I really have no more clue than they do. He’s a disgrace.
I did hear, however, that he’s a bit of a tearaway given half a chance. I met someone recently who ended up on a drunken binge with him and said he was great fun. So who knows.
I heard similar. However I felt he was an ass on his way up. Now talks about himself in commentary, instead of shining the light on today’s players. Isn’t funny but thinks he is. It’s all about Nick which is not my type. When he announced he was going to play his last Open on the same day, knowing Tom Watson had announced the same years earlier, he was put in my trash bin.

I’m not a huge fan of ex-professionals working as pundits. It takes a certain type of self centred person to be good at any sport and it just means they only ever think about themselves. Which is terribly boring. The expectation is they will give insight into how another player is thinking but that requires empathy. I don’t know any pro golfer who has that in sack loads.

I’m not sure. Mind you I can argue with myself about most things in life. I do like Finchy, Duval and Nobilo, yet can’t stand Chamblee, Rymer (poor spelling but he doesn’t deserve google), Sir Prik. Ken Brown, Peter Allis, Ken Venturi, all greats in my book.
I guess its more the golfers who were huge in their day. I love Feherty but his career as a pundit post pro golf career has been way more successful than his golf career. Or else it takes time. Brown & Allis are titans of golf punditry. But Allis hasn’t hit a ball in anger in 50 years.

McCord is a mystery, would love to enter his world but think it could be mentally dangerous.
The guy with the comb over hair on the golf channel is, well I’ll leave it at “comb over”.

I know for sure its happening. Unless I was there, I don’t know anything more than random crap that for some reason has found a home in my head. Like, that Ben Crenshaw used the players bathroom for a smoke during the Masters on Hole 13. Why do I know that and yet can not remember my own phone number. Its a crazy world I live in.

Right, so we’re over a year in and many of the chapters have grown to the point where we have been able to calve them off to form new chapters. I’ve also been looking at some existing chapters and decided that it was time to split them up simply because there was too much geography involved and members would never be able to play with each other.
We now have about 350 members, all in, so it’s growing nicely. There have been many meet ups and it looks like 2020 will be the year of this really taking off. Thank you to everyone for getting stuck in and all the work that’s gone into this being an actual thing rather than just a good idea someone had once.

I just posted the Roll Call above, so find the chapter that works for you, add yourself into the sheet and find the name in GREEN in that chapter. Thats the chapter captain. DM them and they’ll loop you into the chapter WhatsApp.
