I suppose now is as good a time as any to announce our first Calving!
As many of you know, I had this crazy dream and we set it up last year in a hurried frenzy of ‘Fuck yeah this’ll be cool’ but we always knew the geographical areas covered by most chapters were too large and unwieldy. The idea is getting together to play and when it’s a 10 hour drive from one member to the other that gets tricky.
Needed must, however, and we rolled with it, always with the knowledge that as chapters became more populated they could eventually divide, providing for amenable chum fun. This division is to be known as a Calving.
Well, we had our first Calving as @Craigstands wished @anon26814599 well with the Boston and New England Chapter, the North East Chapter now requiring a new name (TBD).
There is, naturally, some bad blood and this will, naturally, boil over into a regular dual match. I for one look forward to the results and wish them all well.
For an encore, the SW Chapter is chattering about officially Calving NorCal from SoCal. Which seems sensible. And Texas is probably Calving itself into about 6 chapters with one lone member in each. But they dig the whole solitary cowboy Marlboro Man vibe, so they’ll be fine.
