A bit of Bubbles and Pearls with the missus.

Champagne (excuse me, sparkling wine) and oysters.

Starting to see uncle Raul’s nephew (Cesar Marquez Perez) get more and more shelf time and recognition in the family’s Castro Ventosa lineup, anyone had any of these wines with him at the helm? In addition to the Mencia options, the Godello sounds intriguing.

High protein dinner required some Barossa to wash it down. Drinking pretty nicely already.

Can’t go wrong with Brunello in my books. Or that Sassicaia if you’re feeling fancy.

The gf vajra albe is nice. I’ve had a few over the years and not terribly priced for a restaurant menu

I have to say I always enjoy seeing Spanish wines that aren’t just straight from Rioja.

While Ribera Del Duero is my personal favorite region; Pyrenees is fantastic.

Stop at a BevMo at the start of your trip.

You can buy a heavy duty shipping box that is lined with styrofoam (both 12 bottle and 6 bottle options). Perfect if you just want a bottle or two from each winery and don’t plan to buy a half case/full case on site.

Throw an AirTag in the box and check it at the airport.
