I had not looked into the course yet and just pulled up the layout and o boy am I excited! Either gonna shoot the round of my life or kill myself driving to drive the green on most 4s haha.

Iāve played it a few times. I think only two of the 4s are reachable, unless youre the Mega Thicc Boi. Iāll wish everyone luck on the greens though. Serious undulations. Many 3 putts to be had.
Under optimal conditions for each hole. 1 & 8 can be reached
14, 15 can be reached easily
I always forget about 8, but seriously that hole can go to hell. Iāve never tried to reach 1 but mainly because everyone is standing around watching and I donāt need to try and do that and then top it.
there is almost ZERO reason to try and drive 1. Can go bad quickly.

I prefer to safely bail out right with an iron into the middle of 18 and hope my wedge or 9 iron can hold the green and avoid the massive hole in the front of the green.
My first round around there I drove 15 with a 4 iron. I intended to lay up.

Thatās a small part of why I donāt ever hit driver on 1. The other reasons:
- I have no clue where driver is going right now
- Any miss left of center with that distance is probably kicking O.B.
- Any miss right may kill whoever is on 18 tee/17 green
- Anything long may kill whoever is on 2 tee
Meanwhile, a 4 iron leaves a 3/4 sand wedgeā¦which, with no warmup, may kill whoever is on 2 tee

How do we get set up for Sunday at Forrest Hills? On our own?
I can book a set of tee times 2 weeks out depending on how many are interested. Figured its the least I could do being a member.
