Cleaning out a junk drawer this morning and came across this guy
What’s everyone’s favorite Old Fashioned recipe?
The one where I slide it across the table to my friend to enjoy and then I drink a cold light beer.
Bourbon old fashioned press with jalapeno bitters.
Bourbon
Simple
Bitters
Over one big rock, with a twist of orange.
Muddled maraschino cherries and a sugar cube
Bitters
Dash orange peel
Rye Whiskey
Sour
I’m joking, I’ve moved to Minnesota and grown the fuck up.
Mezcal, Bitters, simple, twist o’ orange.
Whatever the sweet recipe was at Lawsonia, I slammed that sucker down so fast I audibly mid-identified the watermelon on my plate with my lunch.
Could always renew my vows with my wife if I can drag her to Green Lake. Granted, our anniversary is in August but it’s not a whole lot different than pretending it’s your birthday at a chain restaurant to get a free sundae and a song.
Someone was paying attention at The Goose Blind.
Need @Worst12onEarth to bring a sheet pan of those cubes up next year so we can slam 2 woodford bottles again.
As much as I would love this we figured some shit out today that isn’t ideal but it’ll work. Details coming sooooooooon.
Yep
But what if @bignanski was the flower girl?
I enjoyed the old fashioneds we had at Kingsley with the @Worst12onEarth’s ice cubes made with bitters and simple syrup that were like instant old fashioneds. At least that what I think they were. I drank a lot of them and don’t really remember everything.
I’ve been using @DrJ’s recipe and it hasn’t failed me yet:
Bourbon
Simple
Angostura bitters
Orange bitters
Works great since I almost never have oranges around.
Stan’s has a pretty good Old Fashioned.
I was gonna come in here and post about how you loved them so much you fell asleep at the counter. Crying laughing right now. A man after my own heart.
If you’re staying three nights you might have switch rooms for the third.
This can be arranged. We should bring our own bourbon this time though so @MidwestHack doesn’t have to pay those processing and handling fees.
