Man, pretty hard to beat the NSS4 this year playing the opening round with @bignanski and the legend @IMBOBBELL then ending up making the playoff. It’s either that or the Big Cedar Lodge meetup with @Kolby in '22.

Odds are I’ll end up in the ProV1x again, although I’m known to mix in a Truvis here and there when I can!

All wood baby! Sneaky Pete style. Would love a carbon fiber one but no reason to switch when mine still works and plays great.

Pool Table Jesus plays carbon fiber.

Now that’s the good stuff

Jersey Mikes order is almost always #8 on rosemary parm, Mikes Way plus CPR. Miss Vickie’s Jalapeño chips and a fountain drink from the fine folks at Pepsi.

Favorite AIC song is Nutshell. It’s devastating and beautiful all at once. Other favorites are Would?, I Stay Away and Angry Chair.

WITB is always rotating but here’s what I’m bringing to Pine Tree today:

Ping G400 Max - Alta 55X
Titleist TS2 3w - Ventus Blue 7TX
Titleist TS2 7w - Ventus Blue 8TX
Srixon Z85 Utility 4 Iron - Modus 105X
Titleist T100 5-GW - Oban CT125X
Ping Glide 4.0 54° & 58°
Ping 1A Putter (the one that goes PING)
Pro V1

I’ve always been huge The Rock guy. Stretching the early 00’s, I’ll add in Randy Orton.

Both, but if forced, few things in life hit the nostalgia feels like a smash burger with onions fried in (Oklahoma delicacy).

No one should feel safe in the bag. Current:
Cobra LTDx Driver
TM M2 3w
Apex 3h
Cobra King DI
5-W Haywood Combo Set
50/55/60 Haywood Wedges
Sub70 Double Wide Putter
Maxfli Tour X

The putter was courtesy of none other than my rival AssCap @DombrowBryan after I was so nervous at my first Ope that I 4-putted Woodlands 1 and questioned everything I knew.

Now that’s a provocative wedge setup.

While I’ve fixed the typo, I’m certainly giving thought to going double gap wedge moving forward.

We are officially done with the first month of the year, meaning we are one month closer to being in the month of the Ope

Opening the interrogation with a banger! In the spirit of this exercise, I’ll add some context to my answer.

My favorite course secures its spot with a very heavy dose of nostalgia. Stevens Point Country Club. Spent my high school years as a junior member there, along with a bunch of my golf team teammates. So many good memories of playing with a great group of guys. The course itself is a challenge and dynamic. There were always new lines or shots to try.

It is the home of my golf “happy place”. Sandler can have Julie Bowen, some pitchers of beer and Chubbs playing piano. When I travel to mine, it’s SPCC. An earlier summer morning on an empty course. Playing barefoot in the dew. Walking down the 6th hole along the train tracks (now it’s 15th), some morning haze still lingering. Trying to navigate to the tough, tucked green. Arriving at the putting surface as the rising sun reflects off the wetlands behind it, where the Plover River has widened and created a sublime backdrop. All this adds up to that top spot in my list.

I would add that my favorite MN course is Keller. HUGE shout out to the NSU folks to introducing me to this wonderful track. It will have to be a yearly play for me moving forward.

Couple others on the list are University Ridge, Lawsonia Links and Viroqua Hills.

Looking to add new memories and courses to the list this year. Headed to the UK for the first time at the end of this summer.

Malt or Shake? Malt all the way. With extra malt, please.

SPCC is a fantastic place and you should never, ever have to qualify why you like it.

What’s your favorite Gatorade?

What is your favorite club in your bag?

Bud, the way you just talked about SPCC makes me want to try it out this year. Got an extra day before Ope and might talk @runitout to make the trip.

Who is everyone’s favorite out of The Four Three Stooges?

Which is better: Ovaltine or Yoohoo?

Favorite losing Vice Presidential candidate?

Curly.

YooHoo is disgusting. I bought it once when I was carrying drywall as it was all I could afford that day, didnt know it was primarily water. Threw it out immediately. So I guess Ovaltine but Ive never had that.

Would love to play it with you guys! I would certainly work to make this happen if we can runitout on board. Even if it’s not SPCC, a round with you fine gentlemen would be wonderful.
