100% agree with this take, I was very pleasantly surprised how much i liked woodlands after playing Links. If you’re giving me 10 rounds, it’s probably still 7-3 Links-Woodlands. But that’s just how good links is

Also, as a non-local Ope traveler, I wholeheartedly find Woodlands to be just a real treat of a complimentary course.
I traveled and will travel again to the Ope because I was Links-curious and excited to meet many esteemed Nesticles.
For a bonus 18 daily past the course I got on airplanes for, Woodlands was delightful. Numerous fun holes, good conditions, and @DombrowBryan flipping brats for our group. What else do you need?

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ope, I am proud to make one of my final announcements as the CEO of the R&A.
There is a lot of anticipation surrounding the 2024 Ope cup and I am here to announce the guidelines around the selection process for teams.
2 Captains will be selected. The criteria for selection of these individuals will be that they are not from the Midwest/the roosts competing in the regional.
There will be players that will automatically be placed on each team based on Ope vibes. (I will be making those decisions) the number of players that are automatically decided will be determined by the total number of players registered.
As we approach the event, and the number of players is finalized, there will be captains selections to fill out the rosters.
Team Names are TBD.
