I’ll just take that as a yes, thanks.

Happy to eat one or two for the team when you skull it deep like 18 Irish last year :joy:

Are you angling for my spot on the Raiders?

No just commenting on a wild driver 5 iron that went long of 18 Irish last year

That damn 5 iron went 230, which fine when it’s fast, firm, and 80°, but not that day. Damn blades and their technology.

How many slots are there total?

Could also be prime “salmon swimming up the Sheboygan” season, which was fun to watch when I played there on Halloween about 10 years ago.

40 last year but we had clearance for 52, I’m guessing we’ll have availability for whoever wants to play

On my morning run today and I took a slightly different route. Looks like the @Ragsy47 @blakehall @wseitz26 led Bombers squad inspired the real Bombers to upgrade their facilities. New turf baseball field, tennis facility, and upgrades to their track / football / soccer fields. Glad to see you guys changing the world!

Good Evening,

At long last I can happily release our sign-up for this event and hopefully unleash some transfer portal chaos! A few highlights:

Name
We’re re-branding, this is no longer The Old Fashioned. I am happy to say this is now The Irish Coffee as a nod to our inaugural event and trophy!
When
Friday October 18th, reminder there will be a bust up afterward
Where
Blackwolf Run - Meadow Valleys course
Cost
$175 which includes cart and small prizes for the winning team and individual. This is higher than we’d like, but normally playing this course would be above $300 before cart or caddie so if you haven’t played the course before this is still a pretty good deal.
Charity
Our faithful founder @Amholzman24 has selected the Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization.
Format
18 holes net stroke play with handicaps capped at 80%. Low score wins individual. For the team component the worst of the teams 5 scores will be dropped. If tied after that, as it was in 2023, we go to the 5th score. If tied after that or if the individual portion is tied we will have a designated putting contest / footrace to decide the winner.
Signup Instructions
Link to the Google doc is included in this post. If you played in 2023, please indicate that as laid out in the sheet. Please then select if you want to stay on the same team, get assigned to a random new one, or enter the transfer portal. If you enter the transfer portal, please mark down the team you’d like to join. Transfer portal closes on March 12th. At that time all remaining members of the teams will vote to approve on people joining their team. If you don’t remember who the teams were from last year, totally fair, I have included the rosters from last year in the signup sheet. For anyone who didn’t play in 2023, it will be a combination of random draw as well as existing team members having a say in who they pick up…
Field Size
Right now we don’t have a firm limit on how many we can host but in 2023 our limit was 52 so that’s a loose field size. Full disclosure priority is being given to those who played in 2023, but we’re very confident that anyone who wants to play will be able to. In addition should we be above 40 players for the 8 current teams, we are absolutely able to make new ones.

With this in mind I hope to see you all there, have a blast, do some good, can’t wait if the Bombers can start a dynasty bigger than the 4 Aces, and collectively lets hope for good weather (or hope for bad weather if that’s the sort of thing you’re in to).
