Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to give back to the organizations that have a special place in our little duck hearts.
Trying to throw a quick plan together for Thursday afternoon of Tussle week (June 20th) - aiming for a group out at Copetown just west of Hamilton. Currently have 9 expressions of interest, will be aiming for a 3.30ish start.
Let me know if you want in and I’ll work on locking up times.
Honestly, I’m so jazzed with how many people from so many places have been able to make it out. This year we had a couple of folks from BC, we had Ohio / Michigan / Pittsburgh / Montreal, I was back in town from Calgary. It fills me up to see so many folks find a way north for this.
And then makes me chuckle to see them all get punched in the junk by Tarandowah. Course played TOUGH this year after some recent qualifiers and am tournaments…
The Tussle was incredible. As a first timer, I wasn’t sure what to expect but everyone I met was a great hang. If anybody is on the fence about coming to The Tussle in 2025, just book it in your calendar now and #getinvolved
Back in Victoria and settled and finally able to write some long overdue thoughts about The Tussle.
@Sarah and @DuncMitchell have been working to get me out since the first year and this year the stars finally aligned (with the help of a new job that made the timing work better).
I’d played Tarandowah once before and enjoy it more and more with each playing. I didn’t have my A game this time around but look forward to taking more shots at it in the future.
Thanks to the organizers who put on a fantastic event. I’m sure I’ll miss some who put in extraordinary efforts to make the event a success but thanks in particular to @cfrench, @scottyrp4, Shaun (tafka Billy Baroo), @BigtimePolecat and the entire Duck Club Crew. Everything ran smoothly and was top notch (even fighting off the interlopers who wanted a 2:05 tee time in between our 2:00 and 2:10).
It was great to meet so many people I had known only on here and make some new friends for life. There were so many more that I didn’t get to spend time with and I hope to in future years.
Congrats to my Friday partner @duncmitchell on his victory. And congrats to morning pairing partners the Toronto Maple Losers on their team win. If anyone want to win next year, try to get me in your group and I am happy to be the bad luck/bad golf sponge.
Inking in the dates for next year’s event. Probably won’t be flying with Westjet next year.
