The Donnybrook is BACK! March 20-23, 2025 - Lottery Opens 10/28

Oh nooo, an extra day in Pinehurst.

Looks like you’ll get a warm up round in.
Mid Pines is great, Tobacco Road is fun, plenty to choose from.

Any lodging recommendations in the area simply for the 6 hours of sleep I’ll get? First trip out there

comfort inn. it’s right next to the Hickory Tavern.

I usually do stay and plays there so usually we are in condos on a course but the very first time down we did stay here just to save money, if you just need somewhere to sleep for a bit and don’t care about how nice it is then it’s perfectly fine for that

I’m personally trying to decide if I want to do the 8 hour drive by myself or if I want to fly, then rent a car, etc.

You got an email from me confirming and then your invoice will arrive on Monday.

Got it!

Enjoy the time with your baby and congrats!!

I’m looking at driving. It’ll be like 9.5 hours door to door, but will save over $700 for flight and rental car that would only save me like ~4 hours on the door to door travel time

I’m thinking the same, plus I won’t have to worry about clubs getting lost, broken, etc

Does anyone know if the shuttle from RDU will be running then? It says peak season. Is late March too early?

Will by flying into RDU on the 19th and renting an SUV. Happy to bring 2-3 others with me from RDU to Pinehurst.

I’m thinking of getting into town a day early, anyone potentially want to play Tobacco Road in the morning before the cradle shotgun?

Any chance to see where one stands on the waitlist?
Or are waitlist positions random drawings as well?

I’m beginning to investigate that . I was thinking some combination of pine needles, mid pines and TR. One the afternoon before, the other morning of. TR seems like a can’t miss

Tobacco Road is on my must play list so don’t want to leave the trip without playing it, but I am definitely open to mid pines and pine needles if logistics work out. Driving up day before not sure if I’ll get there in time for a round, unless it’s late afternoon chasing winter late winter sunset.

Count me in for TR the morning of

I’ve only played two courses that anyone on here would recognize, Ballybunion and Tobacco Road. For a reason I don’t understand, I think of TR way more often!

Planning on Mid pines on the way into town and Pine needles or southern pines on the way out.
