Hello all! I hope everyone enjoyed a Happy Thanksgiving with friends and loved ones.
Unfortunately, I do not bring good news today. The F&B director at Park Mammoth has continued to drag her feet through the planning process, forcing us to postpone registration for this year’s edition of The Extinction at Park Mammoth. I have tried my absolute best to get all these matters sorted over the past month, and apologize for the change in plans.
Stay tuned for an official registration date, which will hopefully be Monday, December 9.
Just to be clear, the price this year doesn’t include any Friday golf? So we should make our own tee times if we want to play on Friday?
Also, if the usual hotel isn’t giving us a group rate, could we contact another hotel in the area and tell them we will have a few dozen rooms to book for them if they’re willing to give us a discount? That way we still all have a place to gather for drinks, hanging out, and watching people lose money on dice.
I’m glad you asked! We actually decided to reduce the cost to $375, and (hand up) I didn’t make the change on the Save The Date.
Friday has tee times for an optional practice round from 8:00-11:00 to informally kick off the event, but tee times on the short course from 1:00 - 5:30 are included in players entry fees and will formally kick off The Death of The Extinction – as you can see in the Information Packet below
As for lodging, you can see in the Packet above you’re still welcome to stay at the hotel we’ve stayed at in the past, but we wanted to try to stay closer this year to make the morning setup and evening tear down a little easier. More info on possible available spots with @Douger23 and myself could come at a later date.

I picked the right day to check in on the Extinction. Haven’t played in a NLU or Roost event before and this one is obviously up there for me living in Louisville.
Hate that it’s the same days as my clubs member member, but I’m still tempted…
