cbgregroy123 and stixnstuff on ebay have both been pretty good and you may be able to connect with them off ebay to discuss what they have. My wife bought mine from Brad Gregory, and he’s a good resource. She just bought me irons, and he let me know when some good playable woods came along.
Just buy brand new ones from Tad Moore with your severance
The Hickory Hipsters also scare me.
The short set is $855 and that’s all you’d need.
Don’t think I’m not seriously considering all wholly irresponsible options. And you don’t get severance when you resign.
Text me the link plz.
You and @bignanski fucking enablers.
First suggestion: DON’T USE EBAY. Most of the people selling hickories on Ebay don’t know what they have, and assume ANY hickory shafted club is “rare” - which is not the case. You can get lucky, but most often will end up with a $75 hickory that isn’t any good to use as a player. Best way to #getinvolved with hickories is through enthusiasts in your area.
I will say though, the “real move” you’re suggesting is where a LOT of people end up once they start down that hickory rabbit hole.
Anyone looking to connect with someone please DM me and your area and i will see if i can find someone to connect you with.
@bignanski - our gui is dealing with some family stuff this week but we should get you hooked up here before too long
That’s bullshit.
Why did you not get fired?
One GREAT resource i’ll list here publicly is the Society of Hickory Golfers webpage. Their dues are $50/year, and it’s worth every penny. Lots of resources and stuff through them.
and for you bois in Wisconsin:
If the NLU guys did an event like this, where certain invitations were mailed out with the yearly gifts, that would be pretty, pretty cool. Think of how much more the Member Gift thread would pop if they did this.
5 golden tickets to the NIT.
The thread content would be amazing with the dichotomy between the slurpers and the the haters
Hope everyone is enjoying the final stretch of summer.
Looking forward to seeing all of you next year and the new memories that will be made!
@midwestgolfbum made a very large donation to the Ope charity for that.
Some people are saying that he’s as generous as he is handsome.
