On way to fair. Be there in 30. Feel free to reach out. 563-542-2223.
Also on my way, the DART delivers
I did not, and I am relaxing on my couch in Kansas City, with Bo Lings delivery nearly here, and the Mooch on my lap.
Hey you were supposed to come to the fair. Otherwise I would have said good bye
The chicken bacon ranch eggroll was delicious
I wanted to take a second and thank everyone for coming to town this weekend. Even if I’m pissy about the way I’m playing golf in the moment, I want everyone to know I’m very grateful that guys make the effort and take time out to come to Des Moines to play golf here. I think we had guys from 5 other states (MInnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri) show up and I believe the most guys in a single year as well. I hope everyone had a good time and is able to come out again next year.
Brother, @kcurry11 and I played Victory yesterday and a fuckin tall boy Modelo was $8. EIGHT. DOLLARS.
Also congrats to @ZachR, I miss all of you.
Are you disappointed that the year you miss is the same year we don’t play Coldwater?
I’m 2/4 now, but I’ll miss next year too when you inevitably play Honey Creek and I’ll be pissed about that
(I’ll be at Sand Valley, don’t @ me)
(I’ll also be in Ames on 9/4 and looking to play)
Jesus what intel do you have?!
I’m just a guy who knows Honey Creek is way better than Coldwater
Thanks @everyone for coming. Im going to try to have a post and stuff sometime this week. Feel free to share any photos you have! Hope you all made it home safe!
Honey creek is sick. Would not be opposed to adding it to the butter cow rota
Great playing with you chef. Glad we got to be tortured TOGETHER Veenker morning.
BUTTER COW RECAP
Thanks again everyone for coming. This was our most attended year and participation for pre and post event was fantastic.
THURSDAY*
Grandview pre-BC round started as a quiet hickory/blades round that is now BC lore. @scagnetti will have a quote that lives on forever standing up for our guy @dgolfman62281 after a wayward shot hit him in the leg without a fore or apology (right after 2 balls buzzed our groups tower without a yell). Say fore, say fore, SAY IT!!!
I’m certain the post round boots at Hessen Haus were the catalyst for Rupps victory.
FRIDAY AM
Veenker am round “The Churn” with hickories/blades/persimmons from up tees was a fun kick off practice round. Nice round Capt @Howitzer , he’ll be taking back home that trophy (forgot pic).
FRIDAY PM
The main event kicked off in a heat wave and became survival and hydration. Luckily cold Busch Light is mostly water. Pins were tough and birdies rare. Most impressed the young hitters / Butter calves made it around.
SATURDAY AM
Round 2 started off with weather warnings, rains came but luckily we were able to avoid any electricity in the sky. Electricity was present in the golf. @Perry4234 took the lead on the back. Howitzer started a charge and chirped “Im comin for ya” to @ZachR leading to a back to back to back Emanski birdie streak to take a commanding lead. Or so we thought. @ag_mo came firing in with birdies on 16 and 17. He would need an eagle on 18 to win. Perfect drive 50 yards out in fairway and a helluv an effort with a wedge to 3ft giving the champ a scare.
CONGRATS TO ZACH, KEEPER OF THE COW
Other highlights would be Mr LIV. @ikeformayor missing round 1 but shooting an insane stableford 54 for round 2, 11 lower than 2nd best.
Also @freesypop for bringing up the rear and collecting the big BUTTER hat.
SATURDAY PM
The fair as always was a blast filled with too much food and craft beer. Thank you all for attending. Excited to get planning next years.
I love love love all the butter cow iterations for all the different weather scenarios!!!
