Official in. Casa Ojai Inn booked Thursday to Sunday. Most likely arriving Wednesday at LAX so would love to join the group at Rustic Thursday. Will probably take the red eye home Sunday so will be looking for something that day as well. Sandpiper seems cool.
I’m in for a Sandpiper round. Would be sick.
Tee time reminder set for Sand and Rustic, gonna be a blast
Looks like twilight is at noon at Sandpiper in February, so that’s pretty nice.
When is the first chance to book Rustic?
Like 3-4 weeks out
I haven’t booked anything yet but I’m def making this happen (will remedy this at some point this week). Also beyond in on Rustic Canyon
Rustic, with $20 booking fee is 28 days
Without $20 booking fee is 14 days
Sandpiper is also 28 days (no booking fee)
Accepting that it might end in the dark, what are the odds of getting a round at Rustic in on Thurs if I land at LAX at 9:30a?
High. I’ll start a sheet as we get closer and have some times but I don’t believe it gets dark until 5/5:30 so as long as you’re off by 12:30 (which is doable) you should be fine.
I can’t wait for the Minnesota contingent to meet in secret and make a blood oath to never admit In n Out is better than Culver’s.
Prithee, good Chefcycle, lend thine ear. I dare utter a treason most foul.
Speak not too loud, lest yon villagers hear. What burden lies heavy on thy tongue?
Verily, I find the burgers of In-N-Out more pleasing than the sacred buttered buns of Culver’s.
Hush! Such words could see us cast into the stocks. Yet… in sooth, I share thy wicked fancy.
Then let this secret be sealed betwixt us, ne’er to pass beyond these walls.
Aye, ‘tis sworn. By my ladle and thy nine iron, so let it be.
In and Out isn’t even next in line behind Culver’s.
I’ve been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately.
But god help me if you say 5 Guys it could start The Long Night.
Culver’s
Whataburger
In and Out
I do prefer 5 Guys to In and Out but don’t really consider it a direct comparison because of the price difference.
@Forty who did a background check on this guy?
Omg I found a like person to me. 5 guys is the best, price be damned to me.
If I want to spend $20 on a burger I’ll go to a steakhouse! Gotta include value in these rankings. Whataburger (in California at least) is also almost double the price of In-n-out.
Your rankings displease the dbl-dbl king

In Texas, Whataburger is cheaper than In N Out, but proximity to headquarters probably has a lot to do with that. 5 Guys isn’t cheap anywhere, so they don’t even make my list.
Fatburger gets slept on as an elite affordable burger chain out west.
Correction : I mixed up whataburger with smashburger. We dont have any whataburger out here.
Ive never set foot in a whataburger
having only had Whataburger not in Texas, its Burger King with special ketchup. The food tastes exactly the same to me. Doesn’t hold a candle to In-N-Out
