Gotta be honest, I am not a Serena fan at all
Honestly?
That’s fair.
Her attitude is poor in my opinion. She doesn’t handle situations with a lot of class. It lost a lot of my respect
This is fine though because she is a mother, hadn’t you heard?
I definitely respect her game, but not a fan at all and haven’t been for years
I just love the announcers for tennis. I always feel like I’m a tennis expert. Not making any comparison to golf, this is a coverage take free zone.
Didn’t you know?! First professional tennis player who is a mother!
I definitely like Osaka, but was pulling for Brady. Seems like she’s slowly figuring it out and could absolutely win a couple slams
She held in there for sure. Has potential
Wow, that was impressive
This Serena-Azarenka match is genuinely haunting with these screams echoing
Easily the loudest of the two matches
I just flipped over from the Chiefs game and immediately turned down the volume 10 notches.
VlKA!!
Great match!
I’d quite like her to overtake Margaret Court’s record, because she’s a shit human; but I am no kind of a Serena fan. I’m sure she is devastated by this.
I like Serena. I think it’s impossible to be that good for that long without being at least a bit of an asshole, and she has certainly received her share of unfair press (whatever the motivation). She’s not my favorite player in the women’s game, but the fact that she’s even competing for the Slams after all of the complications she had during childbirth is remarkable. I’d also love for her to beat Court’s record, but that’s beginning to look like a tall order with how the young players are blossoming. I really think Wimbledon this year would’ve been one of her best chances since 2017, which is a shame. Maybe she can pull a rabbit out of a hat in Paris, but she’s never been at her best on clay.
Also I mean she voiced characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Can’t hate that.
She lost me after the Osaka incident. She took such a holier than thou approach to the fact that she couldn’t possibly be looking into her box it was appalling. Her defense was, “i’m a mother, so I wouldn’t cheat. Men are allowed to say worse than me, so I should be allowed the same opportunity.” If you want to talk about equality with men on the good stuff (pay, opportunity, etc) I’m here for it. If you want to be afforded the opportunity to act like an equal asshole, that seems really weird to me.
She is the most dominant female athlete I’ve ever seen, but if you’re an asshole, you’re an asshole. I don’t root for guys who act like her either.
