Roll Call: Wisconsin - Madison vs Milwaukee

Can your friendly MN refugees join. Been dying to get out to sand valley.

Cool, I’ve been trying to get to Sand Valley.

Great idea on Sand Valley. Couldn’t be more central part of the state.

I’m in as well!

Speaking of the Ryder Cup, anyone else volunteering? I’ll be in the Merch Tent a few days.

Absolutely! I’ve only played Sand Valley - haven’t gotten to Mammoth Dunes yet. Pretty excited to get there again.

I tried, but didn’t get selected. I’m torn on going to the Ryder Cup. On one hand, it’s the Ryder Cup, and who knows when it will be back. On the other hand, it was tough to see much of what was going on at Whistling Straits during the PGA. I feel like you’d barely see anything when there’s four groups out on the course.

I agree, but I’m still going on Sunday…just for the experience.

Now that the ground is white, this new indoor/outdoor place called Rangetime (at Ives Grove GC) has opened just in time: https://journaltimes.com/business/local/year-round-driving-range-owned-by-tony-romo-s-dad/article_dfe82d40-f884-5441-86a5-ad93b324d866.html

If anyone wants to meet up to hit and/or play a round on the simulator, I’m in. Also in for spring 2020 at Sand Valley before heading to Scotland May 19!

Moved back to WI after living in Indiana for a couple years. I live very close to Lawsonia and am a member at Mascoutin. Would love to meet up once this awful white stuff goes away!!

Sounds great! The Green Lake area would be a great place to meet up. I just played Lawsonia for the first time this year - it was pretty amazing. I’ve played Mascoutin quite a bit, and I really love the old nines (white and red I think?).

Agreed on the white stuff… it all happened far too quickly this year.

Lawsonia might be my favorite course in the state. Gets better each time I play it! Having a group out there would be incredible.

Hey folks! Just moved back to Wisconsin after a 3.5 stint with our neighbors to the west (lovely people, I must say.) Currently in SE Wisconsin and looking forward to playing some new tracks next season!

You should have never left MN! Let me know if you come back otherwise hopefully i can get out to WI for a meet up.

No shortage of great golf in the Twin Cities, that’s for sure.

Hey all - checking back in here as well. Our early winter was a kick in the face. Looking at planning a winter golf trip.

Would welcome a ā€œget togetherā€ at Lawsonia (or elsewhere) to kick off the season in April/May.

Count me in for a ā€œget togetherā€ at Lawsonia. I was meaning to make it up there for the first time this summer but never found the time.

I would most definitely be in for a meet up in the spring. What do you fine folks do from…now until then? I am in the Tosa/Brookfield/Falls area and recently tried this…

It was nothing extraordinary, but fine enough for some swings.

Over here in Madison we have heated bays at Vitense. During the winter it isn’t too crowded, but the first hint of spring turns that place into a madhouse until the courses open.

I’m up in Wausau. There’s a sports bar with some simulators opening up soon, which will be nice. Last year I decided to lean into winter and started curling. It’s a lot of fun and I can drink beer while doing it. A torn Achilles ended my basketball career, so it was nice to have a winter sport again (although how I play it it’s probably more of an activity).

The Green Bay Area has gotten simulator crazy the last couple of years.

My favorite local place is an incredibly good deal. They just upgraded to Trackman this year, and it’s BYOB encouraged. Played Sebonack for league tonight.

It’s not as good as being outside (obvs), but it’s a nice night out in the dark of winter.
