Roll Call: WA (PNW Crew) - 2024 RTGS Sign-Ups in Post 2715

Normally I play Tuesday and Thursday mornings about 640ish. Some weeks though it’s Monday Wednesday. It just depends.

I’m a member. Hope you enjoyed your round

It was great. Hard, for sure. But great.

Aldarra got a big shout out from Joel Dahmen on the Get A Grip pod this week w/ Shane Bacon. His favorite course in all of PNW.

I was a member at overlake. Aldarra is less. It has no frills

There are a few tour members who are members, not uncommon to see them. Ranges balls there help

Seventeen is a superb short par 4. The green is exactly the right green to challenge a wedge. Might be my favorite hole.

Played my free Oki round on Friday at Newcastle. 100% still paying for the views. And yes, they are excellent. But god what I wouldn’t give to get rewarded just once with a flat lie after a good drive.

Got both kids in all-day camp next week, and my unemployment is poised to end soon (knock on wood, fingers crossed, etc) so the forecast is calling for a LOT of mid-week golf. Who wants to get out there??

Good vibes!! Was thinking about an afternoon round this week, would that work for you? Or are you thinking week day mornings?

I usually play in the morning so I can be home for dinner with the fam.

Makes sense, I might have to pass then, have fun out there

Excited to announce my return to Seattle next month from FL! Looking forward to connecting with the PNW crew and the possibility of needing pants on a golf course

I’m thinking a rain round might be in order today or tomorrow.

Took my wife to Nile the other night for her first golf outing in a few years. I know it’s not fancy. I know it’s not challenging, but for some reason I always enjoy a round there - except for the 3rd hole, which is ridiculous. What other courses in the area would you all suggest as good spots to get her out? She’s decent, but hasn’t played much. She drives the ball well (and annoyingly straight) for someone who plays once every two years.

Last call!

Story time.

Played Mount Si this morning with a buddy. Got paired with a young boyfriend / girlfriend from Seattle. Nice folks.

On #1 he picks up after chipping it close (for dbl, but whatever). So no putts for him. Important to remember this.

So we are in the middle of the fairway on #2 and he says, “Oh shit my putter is missing.”

I ask him if he used it on 1? Nope. Did he roll any on the practice green? Nope.

Then he declares it was a $500 Scotty and it was stolen while waiting for the 1st tee. What!? He turns and starts towards the clubhouse. Girlfriend says sorry and chases after.

Last I heard he was admonishing her for not watching his bag while he was in the restroom. WTF.

My buddy and I find this hard to believe. There were plenty of people around waiting to tee off. Do we really thing someone walked up and lifted his putter out of the bag?

They never came back out to play the rest of the round. Super odd.
