Roll Call: WA (PNW Crew) - 2024 RTGS Sign-Ups in Post 2715

ya hate to see it

There is a chance my +1 could turn into a +3-4. I will know by next weekend. The others know nothing of NLU but enjoy playing golf. It’s my normal weekend crew and they might be up for a change in courses for a the day.

Cool, maybe we can get them hooked haha Actually played lake spanaway this weekend and thought of our OG meetup out there!

Haven’t played there in months. I left work there and haven’t been back. Heard they have been on temps and the greens are getting infected. Let me know if you get down this way again. I normally keep a 915-930ish tee time at the classic every Saturday.

For sure, I’m trying to get out of the Seattle metro more this year so I’ll do that. And yeah, the greens were real rough. The three temps they had were honestly better with their mowed fairway haha my buddy had a free round for two there though so I was still happy

I realize I should book an Airbnb soon…any suggestions about Neighbourhoods?

What’s looking playable these days? Played the ‘Nile’ yesterday. No fewer than 4 middle fairway lost balls due to plugging. Not fun.

I did some practice today at Willows with the new putter. Willows is currently 70% under water. It’s crazy.

The Home Course was good quality on Sunday.

Edmonds is where the ferry leaves from and is a nice little town… cool, very walkable downtown with shops, restaurants etc, Would definitely be convenient. I’m in Shoreline just south of Edmonds and stayed in a couple nice airbnbs in Edmonds about this time last year before moving here. Don’t know anything about what’s across the water but would vouch for Edmonds

Are you looking at near White Horse or like, in the city where you would have to drive/ferry over? A lot of opportunities though. And in general anyone coming from the Seattle area we should talk about carpooling.

I think I’ll look near White Horse. I’m going to drive in so I’ll have a vehicle with me (so downtown Seattle not ideal)

Totally understand. I like the edmonds suggestion as it would be just a quick ferry over in the morning and there’s a bit more options in the little strip down there. Is it too early to be talking food/drink meet up prior and after?

Been playing pride quite a bit lately, you should come out for the individual stableford next month!

Nope!

I’ll see man. Budget is very tight right now. Just planned the Disney World trip for this year and this weekend is my daughters birthday party so we are on a tight limit right now. I’ll have to look into it though.

AirBnB isn’t clearing up for me where I should stay (Will I be murdered at “Cabin in the Woods”?). So knowing where we’re wanting to meet up for food and drinks could help decide where to stay.

Man I want to help but I have so little experience with Edmonds, am only really there for the ferry :joy:

There’s a bit going on on the Kingston side, like a waterfront area with shops and some restaurants/bars that might be worth checking out. Also obv the casino.

Can’t speak to the cabin in the woods but honestly sounds charming

I mean, I COULD play on the 7th, but should I? Probably not. Dealing with new house stuff and then traveling for work that Monday. The wife would not be happy.

I’m out for this one. But I’ll get out and meet you guise soon! Play well!

Yo, I would check VRBO in Kingston, a brief viewing would suggest there are more options on that site rather than AirBnB. I generally find that with the peninsula, VRBO has better options.
