You better plan on tomorrow. Forecast is…not great the rest of the week.

Oh. Yikes. I hadn’t checked since middle of last week and thought I’d be in the clear at least until Thursday

Pack your Zatch mittens

We’ve been pretty spoiled of late. OK was due for one of these.

T’s and P’s with all the Bermuda grass around the state, may we never see a stretch like we did last year

And what I assume is going to be a bigass earthquake just now.

Normal state.

Didn’t really feel the earthquake all that much but everyone in my office did. Unsure what that says about me.

First earthquake I’ve ever experienced. Glad there doesn’t seem to have been any damage anywhere, but I expected…more? So far my poor range sessions remain the most traumatic event I’ve endured since moving to Tulsa.

A lot of the state will see highs in the low 70s today.
We’re also under Winter Storm Watch.

They seem to be very light and non severe in this area thankfully. There have been many in KS/OK that will occur and can go completely unnoticed.

Though, I felt today’s pretty strong in NW OKC. My monitors were shaking and I could feel my office chair moving a bit.

Same here. I had some things rattle on my desk but no damage or anything. Pretty crazy that the epicenter was in Enid and could be felt in OKC and Tulsa.

Hi Guys. Moving to Tulsa over the next few months and wanted to get feedback on the Oaks CC vs TCC for both the golf and family/social aspects if anyone has any insights?
Mid thirties, two kids, wife plays a bit of golf and tennis.

TCC seems to be about $8K joining fee and $660 a month dues, course seems decent, club house a bit dated but seems like a friendly membership.

Anyone out at the Oaks know what an intermediate membership goes for? and what the family/social aspects are like?

Look forward to grabbing a round with a few of you when I get there and taking a trip out to boiling springs…pics remind me of Royal Melbourne where I played a bit as a kid.

My family has been at the Oaks for years, and I love it out there, but never joined myself before my company paid for me to have a membership at TCC (just joined this month, so no real insight there yet).

I will say, based on first impression, TCC is going to have more for the kids and non-golfing wives than Oaks, but Oaks also just welcomed a new GM so that very well may change.

Both courses are great - both Tillinghast designs that have been restored in the last decade. Oaks redid their clubhouse right before COVID; TCC planning their updates now (that $660 is going to include a capital plan fee to make it $750 total each month).

Honestly - where you live is probably going to be the tiebreaker.

I’m considering these two clubs as well. We officially move next week. I have quite a few buddies at the oaks and they seem to love it.

Welcome to the Nest!

I lobbied for my corporate membership to be at the Oaks, just because I already know a ton of people there, but Boss Man was already a member at TCC and it was his call.

Thanks for the info and the welcome. We’ll probably be a little closer to TCC but only by a few minutes so will go check out both before committing.

Hit me up when you go check out TCC - we can discover the club together haha
