Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) 2025 Major now official

Any updates on Windy Knoll? I’m going up to Dayton for the week and I’ll play Windy Knoll if they are indeed closing. Haven’t been able to find anything online.

They just held the Miami Valley Metropolitan Championship there last week, so it has to be in decent enough shape regardless of what’s happening.

Where did you end up playing Sunday?

We almost had Springfield line up but rescheduled to Heritage up in Columbus which then got subsequently thunderstormed out. So much rain across the Ohio area. Ended up playing 9 at a soggy Majestic Springs. The treat was Monday at moraine even if that was humid and a bit wet.

I heard the real estate development fell through, so it might be safe. Who knows.

I played it a month ago. It was in decent shape. Not as good as when they first opened, but good enough

Headed out to Northeast Ohio for a wedding next week. Staying in Peninsula, have booked a single for Manakiki on Thursday afternoon but willing to move things around if anyone wants to play or has anything else available, day is wide open for me!

Heading to Dayton Friday, from Toledo, to hit the national air force museum with the kid before school starts next week. Anyone give a good recommendation on a place to eat on the route down/back?

I am a huge Marion’s Pizza… excuse me Piazza guy. My parents grew up in Dayton and we always got it when we went back into town. I took my kids to eat there for the first time after the air force museum earlier this summer.
Also Marion’s hasn’t updated their restaurant interiors since 1974, so its a like walking into a time machine.

If you’re going to eat Dayton thin crust pizza Marion’s is good but joes pizza by the museum has the best pepperoni pizza. Old scratch pizza has a location north of town. That are more traditional wood fired.

linh’s bistro in airway has good pho if you’re into that. Rip rap road house has pretty good bar food.

Marion’s pizza is OK… but as a fellow big guy it isn’t worth your money for how small the pizzas are. If your looking within 10mins of the museum there’s Joe’s pizza- one of my favorites because I grew up in Riverside
Flying pizza there’s one in Fairborn new York style good pizza and great Sicilian style
Songs sushi - good sushi place don’t be worried about the looks of the place it’s clean and has great sushi haven’t tried anything else there
Narco burger- good burger joint doesn’t have alot of seating
A little further Jimmy’s Italian restaurant in Kettering is a great they have everything including calzons and pizza both are great I recommend the veal parmesan

Or if you wanna let the boy have some fun they have a twin peaks by the beaver creek mall and there foods pretty good to

Looking for one more to join @Not_Fleetwood @ToddHuhn and myself at Sleepy Hollow this Friday 8/8 at 3:30pm.

I’m not tied so much to anything directly right by the museum, we have to make the drive home from Dayton that night so anything basically between here, Toledo, and Dayton on the way back is in play.

Pizza places sound amazing but there’s a Skyline just off 75 in Lima, seems like an easy choice.
