@Worst12onEarth @bignanski Headflyer brewing when you get into town Matt?
Rolling into Minneapolis this weekend for a certain divisional football game. I won’t say who I’m rooting for so I get decent recommendations. We’re staying near the central library. Any “must try” food or drink establishments near there for what very well could be (but hope is not) my first and only trip to the Twin Cities?
P.S. Finally experiencing US Bank Stadium is going to be so sick.
You’re close to the North Loop where there’s a lot of great options.
Food:
Porzana - Argentinian Steakhouse. Phenomenal.
Spoon & Stable - I kind of think of this as a “Napa” restaurant if thats a thing? Very high level cooking.
Runyons - Buffalo wings. Only make one flavor of wings and they’re great. Good housemade blue cheese
J.D. Hoyt’s - A supper club. Great pork chop. Matt and Junior at the bar make great drinks and are awesome dudes. Tastes as good as it smells.
Red Cow - Just reopened after a rebranding. Good burgers with a bit more on the menu if you’re not hunting a burger. Very few things miss on the menu.
Bar La Grassa - Extremely good Italian food.
Billy Sushi - Very good sushi and Billy is awesome.
Parlor - Great Burger.
Nolo’s Kitchen Bar - Breakfast fried rice for brunch.
Drinks:
Below Porzana is Flora Room (also have a good burger). Very dimly lit. Expensive fancy cocktails. Not a party spot, more of a drink before dinner on a date.
Basement of Maison Margaux is a cool bar. Very Brandy focused. So if you like Brandy thats a good spot.
The Hewing bar is a really cool spot to get a drink. The Christmas tree won’t be up in the lobby yet, but still very neat inside. And you can keep an eye on the riff raff that walks into Deja Vu.
The stretch of Rabbit Hole, Cuzzy’s, Basement Bar, Smack Shack is where a lot of younger people hang out and drink on the weekend.
Fulton is my favorite brewery, but other good options are Inbound. Modist has never been my favorite, but some people like it.
It’s been way too long since I had a wing from Runyons. Gotta get back there
Now THAT is what I’m talking about. Brewery hopping, buffalo wings, watching the riff raff, and throwing back a few adult bevs sounds like a delightful way to spend a Saturday. I appreciate you.
If venturing out for a burger, I’d make the trek to Matt’s Bar for a Jucy Lucy. About 15ish minutes from where you are staying. Cash only.
The place is undefeated in great burgers and ice cold beer.

Totally agree on the Red Cow take. Super Consistent even from location to location. - I kind of always sleep on it because it is a “local chain” sort of
Their Chicken Miso soup is just killer. Perfect for a cool MN evening.
If you are looking for a diner experience, make your way over to Ideal Diner. Tim and I went there for last year’s Frozen Four Ball and it was great.
Or the legendary Al’s Breakfast (cash only).
I like Runyon’s wings. I LOVE Mackenzie’s wings.
Mack is our resident restaurant connoisseur. You are in good hands
Sup yall. I’ll only post this once, but for those not in the discord, I have season tickets to the wolves, pictured here. If anyone is looking to go to a game this year, hit me up and avoid fees and I’ll make sure it’s a good deal.
Howl.
