The nice amount…
Actually the other captain (big stoolie) thinks he’s a comedian.

I will be in town next Friday and have the afternoon free for golf. I have secured a foursome at Keller that day at 11:57. @kcurry11 is joining me but we have two spots open if anyone else wants to play hooky from work on a Friday afternoon.
Anyone wanna play the loop at chaska this week with my kiddo and I?
… Possibly. Are you here tomorrow? My older two have no school for some unknown reason.
I don’t land until mid to late afternoon. Couldn’t convince the powers at be to take the 7a flight.
Rosh Hashanah is tomorrow. High student population that celebrates.
That makes sense, our district website doesn’t give a reason - just “No School”
Tell them to get their shit together!
Ok folks, my boss from Minneapolis owes me a golf round. He wants us to both to be able to drive there. As most of you know, I’m in Iowa City. Any good recs for southern minnesota?
Problem with southern Minnesota is it’s an awful lot like northern Iowa
I’ve done some looking around of the USGov lidar data in the south east, and there is some cool land for golf (that hasn’t been realized obviously).
Need to cross check it with the sandy deposit maps, but I could stumble upon the next Sand Valley down there
There’s some decent golf in north central Iowa. The former Mason City Country Club did a big renovation “led by John Daly” and it looks good now. There are a couple others that are interesting cheap 9 holers up there as well.
Mason City has a golf course? Neat
Mason City has 3 courses that I like in each their own way. The former CC that I already mentioned. The muni Highland Park that has some quirky risk reward holes on the front 9, and the back 9 is fine. And a 9 hole executive type course that’s cheap and fun. And the guy who owns it used to have a $50 skins game every Wednesday that drew a good number of guys.
I lived up there for 2 years playing college golf and have a lot of good memories
I got bad news for you. It’s all silty loam. And sink holes.
Great for mountain biking at least…
Tell him to get you on at Rochester G&CC or Somerby and see what happens
Any of the public offerings in Rochester any good?
however more impractical for you. i suggest the jewel in lake city. public. great course. just farther for you….
Oak summit is fun but idk if it’s worth driving for that. Check out Winona, the Bridges and Cedar Valley are both decent
