Also if any of you drop out without very good reason, I will publicly shame you, and maybe execute my newly found rights as a Captain and shadow ban you (kidding. Or am I? Don’t find out)
We’re playing at Troy Burne tomorrow, most birdies will pick first!
Scouting report:
Mid hitter who usually keeps it in play but has been spraying it a little more than usual lately. Handicap is at a 2 year high as a result after being at a 2 year low just a month ago.
Approach game is generally horse shit and my chipping and putting, while not spectacular is pretty good for the 11-12ish handicap I am.
I feel I’m a pretty good playing partner and generally stay pretty positive.
Looking forward to a team match situation. Should be really fun.
@asianslaw sounds like a terrifying match play opponent for the foreseeable future. 8.9 having only played for 5 years and is still playing second hand clubs! There no way that handicap doesn’t come down next year. Welcome aboard!
Gutted to say it but I’m going to have to drop out. I get about 20 hours a month with my fiance right now because of our work schedules and this event would be 5 of those. I removed my name from the list
You young(er) guys and your fiancés, weddings and newborns…
*Congrats!
No sir - as of now the G400 is in the backup bag, as a GT3, fit by Aaron and blessed by @BigTex over at 2nd Swing Minnetonka has unseated it. Feels like if a Louisville Slugger got together with a Tomahawk missile.
Gosh it would be my pleasure to have you carry me across the back 9 to a playing-captain-final-match-victory again. Let’s run it back, immediately! Birdie juice will be sponsored by me.
There’s 6-10 more drops in this group. I can feel it in my bones and it makes me sad. Cannot imagine being in the state and missing the greatest of all refuge events.
My game is scrappy, grinding out pars and bogeys. Wind doesn’t bother me, better when hitting it low than high. Above average punching it around trees and or scrambling around the green. Medium hitter, need a big tail wind gust to touch 300 off the tee…250 is more my style.
The real test will be once the 7 day forecast comes out
If anyone drops because of the weather, I will shadow ban them.
It’s the Frozen Fourball. Much like the format, it’s in the name.
For the record, you lagged it to tap-in range to comfortably seal the W, if I recall correctly. Captain clutch!
You’re damn right. You gave me a great read and the confidence to give it a shot.
You were my Sherpa on that hole. Helped with the club choice in the approach shot and the the putting process. I owe the success to you and your guidance
I am thrilled I was actually able to help, and not hitting my ball two fairways over like I was for a lot of the back 9 (oops). That whole afternoon was fantastic. I finished my evening at The Nook too, which was one of my better decisions.
It was a team game. Peanut butter and jelly my friend. Peanut butter and jelly!
What if I drop because the weather is too warm? My scripting calls for cool weather.
Don’t you put that on me, Ricky Bobby!
Good thing I won’t be here
DRAFT DAY!!!
