Wuskowhan was tight. Very tight. “Players club”.
As for TS - appears they may be playing the mines tomorrow? Weakest of the Devries 3, but a fun course in its own right.

Wuskowhan is a ton of fun, and a real “players club” as mentioned. Golf is the focus of the members and it shows. I personally don’t find it overly tight, play to the fatter parts of the fairway and you’ll find yourself in a good position more often than not. Nearly the entire course is tree lined, but manicured and can be played out of. The greens can play really really fast. The place is always in perfect condition.

I’m glad they included TFE as well. It’s great to see him get credit and I was pissed when Michigan Golf Live built a whole show around the DeVries courses in GR without giving Andy credit.

ATTENTION PLEASE
Prelim planning for the inaugural East vs West event is up and running. We are trying to work with Arbor Hills golf club in Jackson MI as it has some adjacent ties to the Refuge. If you interested, throw a vote in the poll for what weekend would work best for you.

A Friday would be awesome if we can make it work as I’m sure there would be more availability but this is just to get an idea for what would work best.
There wont be a ton of merch I don’t think, but I have some ideas for a logo and lets be honest, everyone loves some good merch.

Hey everyone, I have some unfortunate news.
I reached out to @heater recently to see if he was interested in a round since we had a great time playing at Maxamania, and he informed me that he had a bad accident and had been in the hospital for the past month. He passed along some more info today, and it sounds like he has a long road to recovery after a spinal injury in a diving accident up north.
There are more details at the gofundme page below. The Ability Lab in Chicago is pretty legit, so let’s hope they get him back on his feet and back on the golf course for future Maxamania’s

Played Tanglewood today for the first time. Went to the range last night because I’ve been flushing my irons but so lost with my driver. Didn’t find any sort of swing thoughts or pattern at the range. So naturally today my irons were sort of ass and I bombed my driver. 
Course was decent. Not super long and greens were nice. Lost like 6 balls though so not a great showing. Birdied the last so golf isn’t so bad.
Also today might have been perfect weather for golf so no complaints just getting out and enjoying it.

Just thought I would post here to see where people go for their golf lessons in the Grand Rapids area. I have gone to GOLFTEC for the past couple of years but just saw my normal 5 pack of lessons was not offered in the August sale. I like my coach but I also know GOLFTEC is on the higher end of the cost spectrum. Wondering if there was someone or somewhere I’m missing should check out next winter.

Welcome! I lived in Kalamazoo for a couple years and miss all the wonderful golf options on the west side. Where do you usually play?
Honestly I try to get out all over the area, haven’t really played a course more than twice besides Heritage Glen and then The Prairies just because it’s close to WMU’s campus.
The Prairies and Milham were my two go-to places for Sunday morning hungover rounds. Go Broncos!

Hot off the press, I am ALSO playing 100 holes to support the local First Tee program! I just hope I can bring even more visibility and support to the local chapter because I love what they’re doing. I know the First Tee relies heavily on community support so any pledges are greatly appreciated. Or if you’re not able to, spreading the word to those who may be interested is also helpful.
