I got a couple times starting at 930 for tomorrow at Ravisloe. Room for more if anyone else is interested

Ok I’ll see if there’s any way I can swing it and let you know. Unfortunately they said no dog when I called this AM

Anyone ever play Randall Oaks? Looks decent, but some hard looking approaches.

-Edit watched the flyover again, there’s only 1 approach that got me to say that. This green looks ridiculous.

That place is a decent spot that’s not overly difficult if I remember correctly. Been a couple years since I played there.

Question I was thinking of last night: if strapped came to Chicago what 3 courses do you think they would pick? My guess:

-Jackson Park
-Mount Prospect
-Calumet CC/Ravisloe? Are these too expensive?

I’d definitely like to see some combination of:

-High quality. Ravisloe or Mt. Prospect
-Lakefront muni. I think Jackson Park is more their style but Syd would work.
-Canal Shores. Has to be. I know it’s gotten plenty of attention in golf YT world but it’s such a different experience from almost any other course in the US. I know that I’m biased by proximity but that would be really cool.

I think we have to have some rules? Where is the geographical boundary for Chicago strapped?

Yes don’t know how I forgot canal shores

To follow what has already been said, I think JP, Ravisloe, Canal Shores is the play. @Randy would enjoy the infrastructure and history at South Shore though.

  • Jackson Park ($35 to walk)
  • Ravisloe ($35 to walk twilight)
  • Canal Shores ($20 to walk)
  • $180 total on golf would leave enough room for an AirBnB, food, and Old Style.

Neil could go low at JP

I can’t answer that question unless I see a map of previous strapped locations

Pretty sure they venture out beyond city limits. Baltimore looks like they played in Baltimore County in their last round, not in Baltimore city. They did “Northeast” and “Louisiana”. So you could just call it “Strapped: Chicagoland” if you want to be a stickler.
