Roll Call “Chicago” (Part 1)

After staring at the green 50 yards from my brother-in-law’s back door all weekend with no clubs, yes.

Do I need to book a spot?

Currently have two spots booked so you’re good. Just gotta pay in the pro shop. If anyone else wants to join us just grab the last two spots online.

Does anyone have a mechanic they trust in the city? I know this isn’t golf related, though, in a way it is, because I use my truck to get to the course I jumped in today and the heater wasn’t working. Feels like something I’ll want in the coming months

Would also recommend Armitage Auto Repair & Body. Partially because you can hang at the Map Room while you wait.

Great call. In the summer, they are kinda pricey, but I have used Heart and walked to Canal Shores.

Anyone else notice it’s supposed to be on the 50s Wednesday and Thursday?

Should we get Ravisloe on our event calendar for 2022?

it has it’s issues, but I still think it would be a great spot for a Refuge meetup in 22

Has there been any noticeable change as a result of the new Pro over this past year? more/less traffic or operational changes? I only met him a few teams earlier this spring.

Weibring and the Peoria courses would be great Demilitarized Zones for some peaceful arbitration

One more for the Chicago crew:

Seems appropriate to post this once more on giving Tuesday. Today’s the last day of my fundraiser making homemade chili powder. @JScore @ChiFFI @avess and others have gotten in on the action and unsurprisingly the refuge has been very supportive.

For a $25 donation to the first tee of Chicago I’ll mail you a pack of “gnar pow”. That’s it! You can donate more on top. Donations go straight to the charity and are fully tax deductible I pay for all ingredients, shipping, etc.

I wouldn’t say there’s a real noticeable change, but just some little things to keep moving the course forward. Probably an uptick in the marketing and overall administrative side of things - and traffic I’d guess is at least slightly higher than before. Seems a little tougher to get tee times at least.

He’s also spearheaded some cosmetic touches like new paving/landscaping at the entrance/1st tee area to make it a little nicer gathering area and first impression. Conditioning has been great all year, but that’s nothing new.

Taking Friday off, likely going to play Downer’s Grove.

@HackMarkham @Xlink and anyone else in the area up for a frigid 9 or 18.

Wish I had the luxury off accrued PDOs, I think I have 2 total right now.

Extra frustrating considering forecast calls for a high of 60 on Thursday and it gets dark at like 2.

And I drive past Naperville CC on my commute.

I live in Spain without the S.
