Roll Call “Chicago” (Part 1)

In Wardle’s defense - I had at least 2 classes in the engineering building that were definitely not engineering classes. Hell I never needed to take a science class with my major.

And let’s be real, Amaroso was most likely in the poker room at Potawatomi

Poker room or shooting up Mortensen with steroids.

Who’s to say.

You’ll definitely recognize the course, but the overall quality and conditioning has gone up immensely in the last 20 years, plus a lot of just subtle little tweaks and touches that add to the fun. Better variety in bunkering + a lot of good tight runoff spots around greens for starters. My favorite course in the B-N area and a hell of a deal in my opinion.

I got where @TCRBrad goes. Unless i can be partners with @IlliniGolferHack
But he’s suspiciously silent on the issue.

The St Louis rivalry writes itself.

They have a lifetime of beating my team. I have the 2015 NLDS. Honestly it’s not that bad of a trade.

Great point.

Still dig “the outfit”

Second City Golf Club is simple and good. Just a bit too easy. Which is why it’s good I understand.

“Windy City Stingers” is also a name if we want to sound like a minor league baseball team.

“The Loopers” is simple and could be good. An el-map inspired Merch would be cool.

“Wacker Drivers” is another name we won’t use. “Wacker Hacker Society” is even worse.

Someone else said LSD but a variation could be “The Lakeshore Driving Club”. I actually don’t mind that one.

Perhaps some of these are options if the city crew secedes from the burbs :eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes:

I’d also like one of many slogans to be “The City of Big Shoulder turns”

I can keep going. But I will stop.

Can’t wait for the first time someone says they’re from the Chicago Roost when they’re really from the Naperville Roost.

Cmon @kevjones step up for central illinois. Or @tchap80

Do the right thing!

“Step up” meaning join the Chicago crew? I’m leaning that way for sure.

Or are you thinking we need our own central IL sub-Roost faction?

My initial thoughts were a central IL Roost as a 2023 goal. Don’t think we’d have enough people yet, but hopefully in a years time we could.

Would love to be a part of the Roost subcommittee when it comes time to draw the maps. Huge gerrymandering guy.

I like your thinking - I have some other local golf buddies that have waited too long to join in the craziness here. Recruiting can be a goal for 2022.

I dont want no stinking sub-roost, i want to be the dominant mid west roost!
Chanel your energy like bielema wooing the high school coaches and fill out our rooster roster. There must be enough!

No way! We have enough right now! We just need a charismatic leader!

We can declare @djpie a central il roost member, so we have some style.

“Rooster roster” is freaking hilarious.

Also - (whispers) we’re not that far behind STL numbers wise.

@djpie very much a free agent. He is famously from “just outside Chicago” is he not?
