Welcome! As someone who moved here last year knowing absolutely no one, this place has been amazing for getting to know a great group of golf sickos. If you’re looking to play a round, just throw a message in here and almost instantly you can have at least another person wanting to join.

Warren was sickkk. I almost broke 80 with 3 birdies from the white tees (which had 3-5 tee boxes pushed up so don’t be too impressed) but collapsed on the signature hole. It was just $63 or so to walk.

I will echo this sentiment. The Chicago group is very active and is very welcoming. I moved to Chicago in July and have only played golf with members of the Refuge and have enjoyed it each time.

Gonna check out Heritage Oaks at 11:20 tomorrow. There’s one spot left if anyone else wants to grab it on their website. Never played the old course so won’t have anything to compare the renovations to, but I’m excited based on the reviews here.

Finally settled on Shepherds Crook and Mt. Prospect for next weekend. One Saturday one Sunday. Anyone want to join? Flexible on either. May also try to play Sydney Marovitz one day if it works out.

Does anyone have a good granite guy, specifically a granite guy in the NW, N, or W suburbs that might be willing to modify our existing granite countertop to make a cooktop hole larger?
We bought new appliances and the new cooktop needs a larger hole than the existing hole in our countertop. Abt won’t cut the countertop and didn’t have any recommendations for anyone to call

Myself and @chockfullofthat might need one more tomorrow at shepherd’s crook, 2 pm. He is a 13, Im a 26. we enjoy banter and the ryder cup and making fun of the dumb pga tour, typical NLU boys. Our third is probably going to be our buddy that supported europe in Solheim cup and will again at ryder cup, i hope that doesnt deter anybody

I loved it. Really beautiful with all the natural areas. Who doesn’t love a nice par 70 with 3 Par 5s and 5 Par 3s? Very playable, and I thought conditions were good. Greens were in excellent shape and rolling true (25 putts for your boy). Had a great breakfast sando in the clubhouse before going out. To top all that off pace of play was excellent, especially for a Saturday afternoon. Tee’d off at 11:20 as a foursome and we finished in roughly 3:40 with some very mild waiting on a few tee boxes. Lovely time, I’d recommend Heritage Oaks to anyone and will certainly return in the future.
