Roll Call “Chicago” (Part 1)

Lol I misread that. My bad

But I would add that around my condo I’ve heard mt prospect called the Augusta National of NW suburban park district golf courses. So if the shoe fits…

Anybody on the list to be a patron for the masters and therefore can order the food? I’d get down on splitting an order

Saw this Twitter and they have my attention. (And yes, my family is on a heater for lottery)

The leaves weren’t a problem. The leaf blowers were a bit annoying, but a necessary evil I suppose.

25 is a LOT.

I don’t know…maybe I’m too far out on my skis here but the cup to cookie ratio seems pretty high.

Or too low? I don’t know. Whichever one means there should be more cookies.

Needs to come with the white bread for the cheese and egg salad.

My dad and I somehow snuck into a group that holds tickets for Sunday back in April, this will help the pain… or it might make it worse, I have no idea lol

On the topic of the Masters, the First Tee of Greater Chicago is running a contest this year benefitting the organization, so I thought I’d share the details here. (It’s $20/entry.)

HOW IT WORKS:

Everyone picks a team of 6 golfers. Add your best 4 of 6 golfers scores to form your team score. The best team score wins the pool. Cut golfers (and anyone who doesn’t finish 4 rounds) get 80 for any rounds not completed. Playoff holes do not count. The prize pool will be split 50 / 50 – 50% will go to the winner and 50% will be donated to FTGC.

They also recently(ish) announced their Waveland Capital project at Sydney Marovitz, which will be pretty sick when it is finished. https://www.firstteegreaterchicago.org/ways-to-give/waveland-capital-project/

Me and my buddy were discussing whether Jackson Park had the lowest course rating for a CDGA course (par 70 or more) and I couldn’t find it, but did come across this list for the toughest courses. Anyone want to weigh in if there is a lower rated course than Jackson at 65.7 or 4.3 under par?

-Edit: I found all the CDGA data I would need to set a minimum course length too. Columbus Park is easier for course above 5,500 yds

Only one I know of that’s close is Cary CC at 69.0 (-3)
Renwood also plays really easy on the card, but not -4 easy haha

Just took a look at Bon Vivant as I’ve never heard of it. Looks like it closed down a few years back.

Grew up 15 minutes from that course was always a blast to play in high school. Can’t remember the specifics but the owner got in a dispute with the village and when he didn’t get his way, he claimed he would bulldoze the place. They thought he wouldn’t do it then the guy did what he said he would do and the course closed.

For the beer folks - Binnys info for BCS

I tee off tomorrow at 8:20am and will probably be there around 8 for anyone who wants to share a barrel aged stout before we start the day.
