Roll Call: Bay Area Golfers

If you’re not staying at one of the Pebble Beach resorts, you can only make a tee time 24 hours in advance. What that actually means is that you have to call exactly when the booking operator opens the day before you want to play–which is 7:00 am Pacific time Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 am Pacific time on Sunday–and ask them if there are any available tee times for the next day. I called them beforehand and asked them what my chances were for getting a tee time, and they told me: (1) they are primarily a weekend golf resort, so 24-hour advance tee times are easier to book for Monday through Wednesday rounds; (2) because I was playing as a single, my chances were pretty good; but (3) I should call exactly when the booking operator opened the day before to make my tee time.

So…I called exactly at 8:00 am Sunday morning and asked them for a Monday tee time…and I got one, but I think it was one of the last available tee times…so I’m glad I called when I did.

I took a cart because I was playing eight rounds of golf in a ten-day span and I wanted to preserve energy.

Perfect thanks for response.

Ohio Refuge playing Pasatiempo Monday 9/2 at 1:20 as single. I booked my tee time a few months back and the other three slots are still open. Putting the word out to any California refugees that may want to meet up.

@DP123 I might take you up on that if there’s still room. Have to check with my other half and make sure we don’t have plans. But def off from work so will keep you posted.

On that note, I’ve got one spot available at Pasatiempo on Sat Aug 31st. 12:30-12:50pm. Some RACDG/refuge people from LA area coming up to play. @DP123 or other Bay Area peeps let me know if you want that spot.

Ladies and germs,

After playing Baylands yesterday with a fellow Refugee and discussing Corica vs Baylands, etc., the idea was brought up for a meetup/mini-Summit at Corica. Seeing as how September and October are the most optimal times for great weather in the Bay Area, I was thinking it’d be fun to get something organized and on the Calendar.

A) Who/how many would be interested in a Saturday or Sunday Afternoon round at Corica?
B) September or October?
C) Any other suggestions?

If it looks like there is a demand for a meetup, I will go ahead and get a few tee times blocked off and go from there.

Let me know what you all think…I think it’d be great if we were able to get 3-4 groups together. Corica is a great spot to do it at.

I’m interested for sure, my only times I can’t go are the weekends of Sept. 13th and Oct 12th (damn weddings). Been dying to get out and play Corica

I would love to do this but I think pretty much all my weekends from mid Sept - Oct. are going to be booked.

I am interested. So far, other than the 15th of September, I should be good.

Yikes! Bit if an emergency. Anybody know of a good club builder in the bay? I just put New shafts in my irons and literally can’t hit them. Have the meetup at Pasa Saturday was hoping to have my old ones swapped back in tomorrow somewhere. Any help appreciated

Where are you located? Keplers Golf in Walnut Creek might be an option. Not sure if they can meet your turn around time but if you are close it’s worth a try.

Yep just called them thanks!

Can they get it done?

I would be interested. And might be able to rope in @SweepingDraw.

yeah I’d be in, although Sept is no go. I can do any october weekend except 10/12 as I’m booked at Cinnabar. Depending on the date, 1 or 2 of my usual playing partners would prob come too.
