Roll Call: Atlanta - TPC Sign Up Link in Discord Announcements Channel

Courses that are going to be an hour and higher end:

  1. The Frog
  2. Barnsley Gardens
  3. Governors Towne Club
  4. Chateau Elan

1.5-2 Hours and Woke AF:

  1. The Fields GC
  2. Sweetens Cove

40 minutes and good:

  1. Woodmont
  2. Cobblestone
  3. Cherokee Run

Inside Atlanta and Fun:

  1. Bobby Jones GC (manage expectations. 9 hole course that depending on time, 18 is guaranteed 4.5 hours)
  2. Browns Mill

There’s probably a bunch more in the 40 minutes and good category that others can chime in on. Especially things up north towards Duluth and Johns Creek that I’m less familiar with.

I’d throw St. Marlo in there - non-memorable semi private with (usually) really good conditioning and a couple rock walls and water fountains if you’re into the anti-Raynor vibe. About 40 mins away.

Cobblestone is good too, and very close to Governors Towne Club

I’d go to echelon

Echelon is great. I want to get back over there.

I keep telling you guys to add BridgeMill to that group with Woodmont, Cobblestone, Cherokee Run, etc. It’s easily good enough. Desmond Muirhead design, with Larry Mize consulting.

Echelon and Cobblestone hurt me deep down … so hard

No Chastain National Golf Club???

Edit: On a serious note, would add Old Toccoa Farm to the woke 1.5 hour section

$4k

That’s the golf. FandB discussions will continue. We have a lot of time.

But that summer day is nice and long and I figure well worth $100 a player.

So in on this.

Sounds like a reasonable number. Next steps? What can be delegated?

Date. I vote August.

We pick a date or two.

I’ll lock in date with course.

Then someone start a fight with someone and make it happen.

Doesn’t have to be a fundraiser. I say set expectations for participation around the $100 mark per person and if we get a lot of people we can flex price from there if needed or use funds for something else.

I don’t see any problem getting 40 players minimum. And can likely handle 80 no problem.

Is Governors still open to the public?

Pretty excited to play a course like that from 7:30-7:30

Im in. The Fields F’ing rocks.

I’m in.

A few kegs of Wild Leap and a metric shit ton of pulled pork and we’ll have ourselves a chamber of commerce day.

I’d be in for this too. Depending on the weekend though, making my first trip to Bandon in August.
