If you are sending them a message through elfster (to ask a question or whatever), no. The messaging through there is meant to keep your identity a secret.
If you meant via a message you include with the gift you send, then it’s up to you whether you want to reveal your identity or not. Some people like to keep their status as a Secret Santa truly secret.
