I have a Zoom account we can use. Should I set the meeting up?
That would be awesome!
Really looking forward to this one, should be a great discussion!

I feel like I have a lot to talk about and really excited to hear what others thought
Well gang, work conflicts. I really enjoyed the book, sad to miss the convo, but looking forward to next one.
That’s too bad! If it wraps up early, hope you can jump aboard!
Bump! Just so people who may have forgotten see. Looking forward to the convo!
Another great discussion! Always end up appreciating the books we read a lot more once I hear what everyone else got out of them. Looking forward to getting into Matterhorn!
Really enjoyed the discussion last night! Hopefully my first Refuge book club won’t be my last. I’m going to try and dig in to Matterhorn over the holiday break.
I get so much more out of these books from the discussions. Very excited for Matterhorn!
Hi all!
In anticipation of post paywall I’ve attempted to put together a WhatsApp group to coordinate books and dates etc (or giving book recommendations of course!)
Open this link to join my WhatsApp Group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/J5mwQzMSqhkC3TAcYxJOgX
There’s a good chance I did that wrong so let me know if you have trouble accessing!
Thanks again for a great discussion! Looking so forward to Matterhorn. Also thanks to @onmeltedwings looking for a stream of Ken Burns Vietnam documentary!
Thanks also to @DuckDuckHook for being on deck with book selection (post Matterhorn)
Finally, any chance we get @MerchCzar showing up to disrupt the Matterhorn discussion??
Thanks for your dedication to the group Sarah! Looking forward to some more great chats in 2021!!
My “local” book club selected “Andersonville” for January. Some serious, lengthy, war reading forthcoming.
Definitely hope @Randy and @MerchCzar can squeeze this one in. You two put “Matterhorn” back on my radar after many years, and pumped to get a chance to discuss in a great book group.
Sounds like we’ll want to go lighter and lighter for the next one.
Finished Matterhorn last night. I had already started it before being selected for Bookclub. Such a great read.
Hoping to join everyone for the Matterhorn go around! Got my copy today and boy am I glad I already told myself I was going to count it as a 2021 read towards my goal. About as fat as most of my chips…
My copy arrived today too! Hefty book
It’s hard to set down once you start reading.
Slated to get my copy tomorrow and pumped to get back in the club after a hellish finish to 2020 at work (note: working in college sports during a pandemic with games getting cancelled/added every day is not ideal). Thanks as always to @Sarah for keeping things going!!
Really enjoyed reading Helmet For My Pillow & With the Old Breed after watching The Pacific on HBO when it came out while I was in college. Sounds like this is up the same alley.
Taking Matterhorn with me on a getaway with the bride for a few days. Looking forward to joining you all for my first ever book club experience.
